症例は76歳，男性．抗凝固療法抵抗性の深部静脈血栓症（DVT）で循環器内科入院中に肉眼的血尿が出現し，当科紹介となった．血液検査では好酸球増多，血小板減少があり，尿細胞診はclass Iで尿中に好酸球を少数認めた．膀胱鏡では浮腫を伴う腫瘤性病変が広範に存在し，MRIでは筋層浸潤性膀胱癌を疑う所見であったため，経尿道的膀胱腫瘍切除術を施行した．病理組織学的検査の結果，悪性所見を認めず，多数の好酸球が膀胱間質に浸潤しており，好酸球性膀胱炎と診断した．好酸球性膀胱炎に対しプレドニゾロンを投与したところ，速やかに好酸球数は減少，血小板数は増加し，膀胱鏡にて腫瘤性病変の消失を確認した．投薬開始後8カ月現在，プレドニゾロン投与量を漸減中であるが，DVTは改善傾向であり，好酸球性膀胱炎の再発も認めていない．

腎がんが晩期再発した2例に関して長期間無治療のまま経過観察をおこなった．
症例は69歳，男性．1991年に原疾患不明の慢性腎不全に対し生体腎移植術を行ったが，2012年に巣状糸球体硬化症による移植腎機能低下に対し2回目の生体腎移植術を行い，当院腎臓外科で外来経過観察中であった．2019年4月肉眼的血尿を主訴に泌尿器科受診，膀胱鏡にて頂部右側壁寄りに2cm大の膀胱結石を認めた．膀胱結石に対し，レーザーによる経尿道的膀胱結石破砕術を施行．結石はレーザーにより砕石可能であったが，結石中心部に縫合糸を認め，縫合糸を核として結石が形成されたものと考えられた．術中縫合糸の除去はできなかったものの，術後6カ月現在結石の再発はなく，血尿も認めてない．
