Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common pediatric solid tumor that originates from neural crest-derived sympathoadrenal precursor cells are committed to development of sympathetic nervous system. The well differentiated histological phenotype NB has been reportedly associated with favorable patient outcome. Retinoic acid (RA) can effectively induce cell differentiation, thereby being used in clinic as a treatment agent for inducing differentiation high-risk NB. However, underlying molecular...

Purpose To compare the recurrence rate and surgical complications of retinopathy prematurity (ROP) between patients treated with intravitreal injection conbercept (IVC) ranibizumab (IVR) within 6 months. Methods A multicentral prospective, randomised controlled trial was applied from May 2017 to February 2019 for infants diagnosed as aggressive posterior-ROP, zone I or posterior II treatment-requiring ROP by binocular indirect ophthalmoscope RetCam3. These were assigned randomly receive...

Infantile hemangioma (IH) is a common and benign vascular neoplasms, which has high incidence in children. Although IH benign, some patients experience complications such as pain, functional impairment, permanent disfigurement. Treatment options for include corticosteroids, surgery, vincristine, interferon or cyclophosphamide. However, none of these modalities are ideal due to restrictions potential serious side effects. There thus great need explore novel treatments with less Angiogenesis,...

Emerging evidence suggests receptor tyrosine kinase ALK as a promising therapeutic target in neuroblastoma. However, clinical trials reveal that limited proportion of ALK-positive neuroblastoma patients experience benefits from Crizotinib, clinically approved specific inhibitor ALK. The precise molecular mechanisms aberrant activity remain elusive, limiting the application Here, we describe deep quantitative phosphoproteomic approach which Crizotinib-treated cell lines bearing are used to...

Introduction H-type rectovestibular fistulas could be rare anorectal malformations or acquired diseases secondary to perianal infection. Various surgical procedures have been described in the literature, however problem of recurrence still remains solved. We describe a novel modified procedure and outcome management these patients. Methods From 1999 2014, 14 patients who had an fistula underwent same performed by team. Rectal-vestibular pull-through inside-out endorectal mucosal advancement...

Rationale: Neointimal hyperplasia caused by dedifferentiation and proliferation of venous smooth muscle cells (SMCs) is the major challenge for restenosis after coronary artery bypass graft.Herein, we investigated role Lamtor1 in neointimal formation regulatory mechanism non-coding RNA underlying this process. Methods: Using a "cuff" model, veins were grafted into arterial system expression which was correlated with activation mTORC1 signaling SMCs, measured Western blot.Whole transcriptome...

Background: Esophageal hiatal hernia can be classified into four types. It has been reported that most complications occurred in type II-IV patients compared with I hernia. This study aimed to investigate and compare the efficacy, complications, long-time outcomes after laparoscopic fundoplication between patients. Materials Methods: Medical records of 110 children who underwent during 2008-2017 our institution were retrospectively analyzed. Information postoperative symptoms, quality life...

We present a case of prenatal detected retroperitoneal pulmonary sequestration (RPS) with an interesting finding. Immunohistochemical staining the specimen indicated that elevated carbohydrate antigen (CA) 19-9 serum level was very likely caused by sequestration. A review literature made. RPS is infrequent congenital malformation, which can be routine obstetric sonographic screening during life. It misdiagnosed as neuroblastoma. The differential diagnosis tricky, we hope our finding help...

Pancreatic pseudocysts (PPs) rarely occur in the fetus. Accurate prenatal diagnosis is challenging. We report a case of left upper abdominal cystic mass detected by ultrasonography and Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which finally proven PPs histologically after birth. Operative interventions include complete pseudocystectomy subsequent external drainage. The outcome satisfactory.

Yolk sac tumor(YST) is one of the malignant germ cell tumors that usually involves gonads (ovaries and testes). Only case biliary YST was reported according to PubMed. Here we a 2-year-old boy who presented with obstructive jaundice finally diagnosed as YST. Basing on this report, review literature about space-occupying lesions suggest more comprehensive differentiation among children resulting from mass.
