While immunotherapy holds great promise for combating cancer, the limited efficacy due to an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment and systemic toxicity hinder broader application of cancer immunotherapy. Here, we report a combinatorial approach that uses highly efficient tumor-selective gene carrier improve anticancer circumvent toxicity. In this study, engineered tumor-targeted lipid-dendrimer-calcium-phosphate (TT-LDCP) nanoparticles (NPs) with thymine-functionalized dendrimers exhibit...

A new Eu3+-activated oxyfluoride phosphor Ca12Al14O32F2:Eu3+ (CAOF:Eu3+) was synthesized by a solid state reaction. Commonly red line emission detected in the range of 570–700 nm. To achieve requirement illumination, this study revealed crystal chemistry approach to reduce Eu ions from 3+ 2+ lattice. Replacing Al3+–F– appreciate dopant Si4+–O2– is adopted enlarge activator site that enables Eu3+ be reduced. The crystallization samples examined powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and high...

Significance A highly selective, safe, and potent CXCR4 antagonist, BPRCX807, has been designed experimentally validated in various hepatocellular carcinoma models. Through combination therapy, it can synergize with either a kinase (e.g., sorafenib) or checkpoint inhibitor (e.g. anti–PD-1) to augment effectiveness of current anticancer treatments. With its unique mode action, new strategy for preventing cell migration metastasis is provided.

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are released by cells to mediate intercellular communication under pathological and physiological conditions. While small EVs (sEVs; <100-200 nm, exosomes) intensely investigated, the properties functions of medium large (big (bEVs); >200 microvesicles) less well explored. Here, bEVs sEVs identified as distinct EV populations, it is determined that in a greater bEV:sEV ratio aggressive human triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) subtype. PalmGRET,...

Successful siRNA therapy requires suitable delivery systems with targeting moieties such as small molecules, peptides, antibodies, or aptamers. Galactose (Gal) residues recognized by the asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR) can serve potent for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. However, efficient to HCC via galactose rather than normal liver tissues in patients remains a challenge. To achieve more HCC, we synthesized various galactoside derivatives and investigated capability of...

The remarkable narrow-band emission of trivalent lanthanide-doped phosphors excited by the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) radiation lines Xe atoms/Xe2 molecules at 147/172 nm are extensively investigated in development plasma display panels and Hg-free fluorescent lamps, which frequently used our daily lives. Numerous solid materials, particularly Tb3+-doped oxides, such as silicates, phosphates borates, efficient green/blue sources with color-tunable properties. excitation wavelength rare earth...

The anticancer efficacy of TNF‐related apoptosis‐inducing ligand (TRAIL)‐based therapy is limited because systemic toxicity, poor bioavailability, and development TRAIL resistance. We developed a tumor‐targeted LCPP (lipid/calcium/phosphate/protamine) nanoparticle (NP) to deliver plasmid DNA (pDNA) into hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells in mouse model HCC. pDNA was encapsulated pH stimuli‐responsive calcium phosphate (CaP) core, protamine added facilitate nuclear delivery pDNA. In various autoimmune diseases, dysfunctional TREX1 (Three prime Repair Exonuclease 1) leads to accumulation of endogenous single-stranded DNA (ssDNA), double-stranded (dsDNA) and DNA/RNA hybrids in the cytoplasm triggers immune activation through cGAS-STING pathway. Although inhibition could be a useful strategy for cancer immunotherapy, profiling cellular functions terms its potential substrates is key step. Particularly important functionality processing RNA substrates. The exonuclease...
