The purpose of this study was to analyze the incidence, etiology and clinical characteristics community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) among outpatients with sore throat and/or cough, thus provide theoretical basis for timely accurate diagnosis treatment CAP. We used chest X-rays fever (a temperature greater than 37.5°C) patients, who were recruited since 2007, presenting cough. patients' age, gender, days fever, respiratory symptoms (e.g. cough sputum), peripheral blood count (pathogens) CAP...

Objective This study was performed to evaluate the effect of care bundles on prevention central venous catheter-related bloodstream infection (CRBSI) and improvement patients’ experience. Methods In total, 212 patients with catheter insertions were enrolled in this study. All matched by sex, age, Acute Physiology Chronic Health Evaluation II score, body mass index, department, insertion site randomly divided into case control groups (n = 106 each). The group given conventional care,...

Adiponectin is a protein hormone that modulates glucose metabolism and fatty acid oxidation. We explored the clinical implication of serum adiponectin in hepatogenic diabetes. Serum levels were determined using enzyme–linked immunochemistry assay 78 individuals including 19 diabetes, 20 type 2 diabetes (T2D), chronic liver disease healthy controls. Cases controls matched by gender body mass index (BMI). There no difference among diabetic, T2D control groups. The are highest lowest T2D....

Objective To investigate the distribution and characteristics of central swallowing cortex in normal adults. Methods Blood-oxygen level dependent functional MRIs (BOLD-fMRIs) were recorded from 10 normal, right-handed volunteers during swallowing. The volume activated activation intensity recorded. Results During experiment there significant differences but not between BA4, BA40, BA32 BA13 areas on two sides. No observed either or BA6/8 BA24 areas. Moreover, significantly more...

Hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related end-stage liver disease is the most common indication for transplantation (LT) in China. Now experience suggests that nucleoside analogs (NAs)combined with a high-dose of HBIG during early stage and low-dose maintenance later post-LT can effectively prevent hepatitis recurrence. However, longterm usage has many disadvantages. Therefore, some centers have recently begun to gradually shorten treatment duration after LT, but there are still obvious differences...
