The Deschampsia cespitosa complex in Russia is revised. Related taxa common to and adjacent regions (i.e. northern Europe, Arctic America Japan) are also considered. s.l. characterized by open less commonly rather contracted panicles, spikelets (1) 2 (3)-flowered, 4-toothed lemmas with the lateral teeth larger, awns straight or bent, inserted from base top of lemmas. Due extensive overlapping diagnostic characters, it not possible accept specific status for D. borealis (Traut.) Roshev.,...

Phylogenetic position of the unique grass genus Coleanthus within tribe Poeae s. str. is discussed based on molecular phylogenetic analysis marker sequences, ITS and trnL–trnF. Moreover, taxa more or less related to were involved in our study for maximal accuracy analysis. Subtribe Coleanthinae (=Puccinelliinae) monophyletic according both datasets, nuclear chloroplast genes, that probably shows certain evolutionary distance from other We confirmed results previous morphological studies...

In our article, we analyzed new data on the origin of hybrid genus ×Trisetokoeleria. According to morphological criteria ×T. jurtzevii is a between Koeleria asiatica s. l. and Trisetum spicatum, taimyrica, originated from subalpestre, gorodkowii, ruprechtianum. Later taimyrica was transferred Koeleria. Parental taxa are prone active hybridization themselves, thus, methods next-generation sequencing (NGS) were needed clarify relationships these genera. For NGS used fragment 18S rDNA...
Chromosome counts were made for 40 species of vascular plants (13 families) from the south Russian Far East continental part -Amurskaya Oblast', Khabarovskii Krai and Primorskii Krai.First chromosome information Ely mus zejensis Prob.and Valeriana ajanensis (Regel et Til.) Kom. is presented. In many first data Amur River basin obtained.Among studied diploids (2x) prevail.
The species aggregate of Festuca ovina L. (sensu latissimo) contains a widespread diploid F. s. str. (2n=14) and some tetraploid taxa (2n=28) distributed in South Siberia: sphagnicola B. Keller (Altai, West East Sayan Mts) vylzaniae (E. Alexeev) Tzvelev (sands on the eastern lakeside Lake Baikal). A new species, hircina Enustschenko et Prob. sp. nova (2n=28), is described from western part Baikal Siberia, where it occurs mostly anthropogenic habitats.
Eight new species of the genera Agrostis L. (2), Deschampsia P. Beauv. (1), Poa (5), and a hybrid in are described from East Siberia Russian Far East.
