Food safety and quality are of importance in daily life. Colorimetric sensors can be used to rapidly sensitively detect food parameters. In this review, we summarize the recent developments applications colorimetric field determination. The principles, advantage disadvantage machine vision firstly discussed. Then, application including quality, classification, poisoning related progress have been reviewed. addition, current challenges future perspectives vision-based sensor (MVBCS) for...
Pickering emulsions stabilized by TEMPO-oxidized chitin nanocrystals (T-ChNCs) were developed for quercetin delivery. T-ChNCs synthesized TEMPO oxidation and systematically characterized in terms of their physicochemical properties. rod-like with a length 279.7 ± 11.5 nm zeta potential around −56.1 1.6 mV. The analyzed through an optical microscope CLSM. results showed that the emulsion had small droplet size (972.9 86.0 to 1322.3 447.7 nm), high absolute value (−48.2 0.8 −52.9 1.9 mV)...
Addressing the critical need for swift and precise nutritional profiling in healthcare food industry, this study pioneers integration of vision-language models (VLMs) with chemical analysis techniques. A cutting-edge VLM is unveiled, utilizing expansive UMDFood-90k database, to significantly improve speed accuracy nutrient estimation processes. Demonstrating a macro-AUCROC 0.921 lipid quantification, model exhibits less than 10% variance compared traditional analyses over 82% analyzed items....
Abstract Maintaining food safety and quality is critical for public health security. Conventional preservation methods, such as pasteurization dehydration, often change the overall organoleptic of products. Herein, we demonstrate a method that affects only thin surface layer food, using beef model. In this method, Joule heating generated by applying high electric power to carbon substrate in <1 s, which causes transient increase temperature > ~2000 K. The direct contact with subjected...
<title>Abstract</title> Nowadays, with the rapid development of information technology (IT), tourism industry has begun to apply it in sector for establishment a smart model. Smart is formed based on expansion traditional tourism, focusing personalized user experiences through TIYA, which social networking application. Its core IT, such as cloud computing, Internet Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and big data technology. complete service system that improves convenience tourists....
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) pose a serious threat to human health, with atherosclerosis being leading cause of heart disease and stroke. Elevated cysteine (Cys) levels have been closely linked an increased risk cardiovascular diseases, underscoring its significance in health. However, current detection methods for serum atherosclerotic plaques present challenges sensitivity, specificity, dynamic monitoring, invasiveness. The development more sensitive, specific, noninvasive assays is...
This study presented a novel and sustainable method for producing chitin nanocrystals (PA-ChNCs) using phosphoric acid hydrolysis. The produced PA-ChNCs were used as stabilizers Pickering emulsions their physicochemical properties well stabilization mechanisms systematically investigated. exhibited small particle sizes high surface areas, enabling an effective adsorption at the oil/water interface, which prevented coalescence in emulsions. size charge strongly pH-dependent, critical factors...
The UV system contains prepolymer, monomer and photoinitiator has been broadly used in printing area. UV-curable inkjet ink with its environmental protection, energy-saving, good quality high efficiency become the most concerned topic a development prospects. use of ink-jet digital is main trend currently period time future. Curing rate one important performance parameters which greatly affected by photo-initiator, besides that, oxygen atmosphere another principal element. In order to...
Accurate shelf-life estimation of food products has potentials to improve safety, reliability, and sustainability supply chains. Here, a scalable platform for accurately indicating the freshness-related information consumers is developed characterized. The system comprises two parts, an optically changeable colorimetric code deep convolutional neural network (DCNN)-based freshness based on image. smart produced cellulose immersed, coated, or printed with sol-gel particles indicators (e.g. pH...
