Tea is a popular natural non-alcoholic beverage consumed worldwide due to its bioactive ingredients, particularly catechins (flavan-3-ols). Catechins not only contribute tea quality but also serve important functions in the anti-stress regulation of secondary metabolic pathways. However, percentages various are different among plant [Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze] cultivars. This study aimed elucidate biosynthetic mechanism catechins. Transcriptomes from leaf tissues four cultivars,...
GRAS proteins are important transcription factors that play multifarious roles in regulating the growth and development as well stress responses of plants. Tea plant is an economically leaf -type beverage crop. Information concerning family tea insufficient. In this study, 52 CsGRAS genes encoding were identified from genome database. Phylogenetic analysis plant, Arabidopsis, rice divided these into at least 13 subgroups. Conserved motif revealed gene structure compositions considerably...
L-theanine content has tissues and cultivars specificity in tea plant (Camellia sinensis L.), the correlations of theanine metabolic related genes expression profiles with contents were explored this study. bud & 1st leaf, 2nd 3rd old stem, lateral root determined by HPLC from three C. cultivars, namely 'Huangjinya', 'Anjibaicha', 'Yingshuang', respectively. The leaves 'Huangjinya' highest, followed 'Yingshuang'. reduced as leaf mature gradually, stem least. Seventeen encoding enzymes...
A phytochemical investigation of Ainsliaea macrocephala led to the isolation a new dimeric sesquiterpene lactone, ainsliadimer (1). The structure 1 was elucidated by spectroscopic analysis, and confirmed single crystal X-ray diffraction. Ainsliadimer represents an unusual carbon skeleton with cyclopentane system connecting two monomeric lactone units. This unique molecule exerted potent inhibitory activity against production nitric oxide in RAW264.7 stimulated LPS.
Chemical examination of the methanolic extract from stem bark Daphne feddei led to isolation five new phenylpropanoids, 4,4′-dihydroxy-3,3′-dimethoxy-9-butoxy-9,9′-epoxylignan (1), 4,4′-dihydroxy-3,3′-dimethoxy-9-ethoxy-9,9′-epoxylignan (2), daphneresinol (3), armaosigenin (4), and isocubebin (5), together with 33 known phenylpropanoids. All 38 compounds were isolated for first time D. feddei. tested inhibitory activity against LPS-induced NO production in RAW 264.7 macrophages. Compounds 2,...
A new polyacetylene glucoside (3E,5E,11E)-tridecatriene-7,9-diyne-1,2,13-triol-2-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), a phenylpropanoid 2'-butoxyethylconiferin (2), and flavonoid glycoside 8,3',4'-trihydroxyflavone-7-O-(6''-O-p-coumaroyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), have been isolated from Bidens frondosa together with fifty-three known compounds 4-56. The structures of these were established by spectroscopic methods. mainly ESIMS, 1D- 2D-NMR data. comparison literature Compounds 1-34, 36, 39, 43, 47,...

African swine fever (ASF) is one of the most severe diseases caused by ASF virus (ASFV), causing massive economic losses to global pig industry. Serological tests are important in epidemiological surveillance, and more antigen targets needed meet market demand for ASFV antibody detection. In present study, p15 protein was fusion-expressed Escherichia coli (E. coli) with elastin-like polypeptide (ELP), ELP-p15 purified using a simple inverse transition cycling (ITC) process. The ELP tag...
Bioassay-directed fractionation led to the isolation of two new biflavonoids and 13 known from a sample dried stem barks Daphne feddei. The structures compounds 1 2 were elucidated as 2″-methoxy-daphnodorin C (1) 2″-methoxy-2-epi-daphnodorin (2) on basis detailed spectroscopic analysis X-ray crystallography. All 15 tested for inhibitory activities against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages. Compounds 1, 2, 8, 10, 14 showed varying degrees...
Six new furostanol saponins (1−6), named fistulosaponins A−F, three known (7−9), and seven aromatic compounds were isolated from seeds of Welsh onion (Allium fistulosum). The structures these characterized by spectroscopic analyses including 2D NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, acid hydrolysis. protective effect the on hypoxia-induced human umbilical vein endothelial cell injury was evaluated.
Six new 9,19-cycloartane triterpene glycosides, heracleifolinosides A-F (1-6), and one chromone, norkhelloside (7), were isolated from the rhizome of Cimicifuga heracleifolia, together with 15 known compounds (8-22). The structures elucidated by means spectroscopic methods including 2D NMR mass spectrometry. extracts C. heracleifolia all tested for activities against hypoxia reoxygenation injury in human umbilical vein endothelial cells. Heracleifolinoside B (2) is effectively resistant to...
Three new olean-type triterpenoid saponins, namely 3-O-(2-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl) oleanolic acid-28-O-(β-d-glucopyranosyl) ester (1), 3-O-(6-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl) (2) and 3-O-(β-d-glucopyranosyl) acid-28-O-(6-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl) (3), were isolated from the aerial parts of Eclipta prostrata (L.). Their structures elucidated based on 1D 2D NMR MS spectroscopic data.
