CMS is a general purpose experiment, designed to study the physics of pp collisions at 14 TeV Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It currently involves more than 2000 physicists from 150 institutes and 37 countries. The LHC will provide extraordinary opportunities for particle based on its unprecedented collision energy luminosity when it begins operation in 2007.

Electronic skin (e-skin), an important part toward the realization of artificial intelligence, has been developing through comprehending, mimicking, and eventually outperforming in some aspects. Most e-skin substrates are flexible polymers, such as polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Although PDMS was found to be biocompatible, it is not suitable for long-time wearing due its air impermeability. This study reports a simple designable leather based by merging natural sophisticated structure comfort...

Abstract Flexible and wearable strain sensor has drawn a great deal of attention owing to its wide applications in health monitoring, human–machine interfaces, soft robotics, etc. Microstructural design on the conductive layer effectively improves performance linearity hysteresis effect, yet process achieving microstructure is complicated. Leather, kind conventional flexible materials manufacture clothes, shoes, etc., possesses natural hierarchical structure that consists collagen fiber....

Bacillus amyloliquefaciens is a generally recognized as safe (GRAS) microorganism that presents great potential for the production of heterologous proteins. In this study, we performed genomic and comparative transcriptome to investigate critical modular in B. on alkaline proteases (AprE). After investigation, it was concluded key modules affecting protease were sporulation germination module (Module I), extracellular synthesis II), polysaccharide III) amyloliquefaciens. Module I, AprE yield...

The southeastern Tibetan Plateau, which profoundly affects East Asia by helping to maintain the stability of climate systems, biological diversity and clean water, is one regions most vulnerable water erosion, wind tillage freeze–thaw erosion overgrazing under global changes intensive human activities. Spatial variations in soil terraced farmland (TL), sloping (SL) grassland (GL) were determined 137Cs tracing method compared with spatial organic carbon (SOC) total nitrogen (total N)....

Biochar has a range of advantages including large porosity, high specific surface area, and strong adsorption capacity. It been widely used in environmental pollution remediation, soil improvement, carbon sequestration emission reduction. Arsenic (As) is highly toxic pollutant distributed throughout the soil. In typical soils, most common forms As are arsenite (AsO33-) arsenate (AsO43-). Since biochar surfaces negatively charged, efficiency to arsenic usually low, material needs be modified...

The observation of high-energy neutrinos from extreme astrophysical sources would substantially broaden our understanding phenomena in the universe, and reveal origin cosmic rays. A proposed cubic-kilometer scale neutrino detector located South China Sea, Neutrino Observatory Nanhai (NEON), optimized for detection subPeV range, is expected to explore more multi-messenger era. Here, as a first step toward optimization construction experiment, different designs, configurations, geometry...

In this paper, we describe a specific variant of dynamic vehicle routing problem (DVRP) - where the goal is to maximize number serviced customers with less cost. Two types are served in problem: obligatory time windows and optional ones without window. To solve problem, propose method three steps. The first step construct skeleton by respecting their windows. second step, will be inserted complete route. third adapt information managing set plan. We prove feasibility approach experiments.

High thermostability and activity are vital to agarases due the higher accessibility of sol state agarose enzymes. Glu128 Glu133 were proven be two essential catalytic residues Aga0917 through site-directed mutation. To improve Aga0917, a proline was introduced into loop Asp138-Gln142 at site V140 after rational analyses. The half-life V140P 50 °C is 48.4 min, 1.7-fold longer than that wildtype enzyme (28.4 min), demonstrating significantly enhanced thermostability. After incubation for 45...

Over the past ten years, several breakthroughs have been made in multi-messenger astronomy. Thanks to IceCube Neutrino Observatory, detection of astrophysical neutrinos was proved be practical. However, no source has significantly identified due lack statistics and uncovered field view. The next generation high-energy neutrino telescope is high demand. We propose NEutrino Observatory Nanhai (NEON), located South China Sea complementary for global detectors. This proposal describes design...
