Breast cancer is the most common in women, with a high incidence estimated to reach 2.3 million by 2030. Triple-Negative Cancer (TNBC) greatest invasive class of breast poor prognosis, due side-effects exerted chemotherapy used and low effectivity novel treatments. In this sense, copper compounds have shown be potentially effective as antitumor agents, attracting increasing interest alternatives usually employed platinum-derived drugs. Therefore, aim work identify differentially expressed...
The purpose of this work was to screen the anticancer activity and mechanisms action Cu(II)-acylhydrazone complex [Cu(HL)(H2 O)](NO3 )⋅H2 O, (CuHL), find a potential novel agent for breast chemotherapies. Cytotoxicity studies on MCF7 cells demonstrated that CuHL has stronger properties than cisplatin over cancer cell models. Computational simulations showed could interact in minor groove DNA dodecamer, inducing significant genotoxic effect both from 0.5 1 μM. In sense, molecular docking...
The potassium salt of the Schiff base derived from o-vanillin and taurine is involved in enol-imine (I) keto-amine (II) tautomerism. Both tautomeric forms coexist crystal they are stabilized by strong O–H⋯N O⋯H–N intramolecular hydrogen bonds.
New ML2 complexes were extensively characterized showing stability in solution and promising anti-tumoral results, particularly for CuL2.
New vanadium complex was synthesized and fully characterized showing promising anticancer activity on triple negative breast cancer cells.
Abstract The electrochemical properties and the stability of Cr III complexes [Cr(pic) 3 ]·H 2 O (OH)] ·5H (Hpic = pyridine‐2‐carboxylic acid picolinic acid) were investigated in DMF solutions by cyclic voltammetry, complemented electronic spectroscopy. results indicate that both compounds undergo a one‐electron reversible reduction process. mononuclear species has more accessible potential than binuclear one. In this last case, observed process can be ascribed to considerable stabilization...
