We report measurements of $\sin{2\beta}$ and $\cos{2\beta}$ from a time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis $B^{0} \to D^{(*)} h^{0}$ with $D K_{S}^{0} \pi^{+} \pi^{-}$ decays, where the light unflavored neutral hadron $h^{0}$ is $\pi^{0}$, $\eta$, or $\omega$ meson. We report on further developments of our recently proposed design approach for a full in-pixel signal processing chain deep n-well (DNW) MAPS sensors, by exploiting the triple well option CMOS 0.13 μm process. The optimization collecting electrode geometry and re-design analog circuit to decrease power consumption have been implemented in two versions APSEL chip series, namely "APSEL3T1" "APSEL3T2". results characterization 3x3 pixel matrices with output photons from <sup...
We report a measurement of the time-dependent CP asymmetry B[over ¯]^{0}→D_{CP}^{(*)}h^{0} decays, where light neutral hadron h^{0} is π^{0}, η, or ω meson, and D meson reconstructed in eigenstates K^{+}K^{-}, K_{S}^{0}π^{0}, K_{S}^{0}ω. The Italian silicon-detectors-with-low-interaction-with material collaboration (SLIM5) has designed, fabricated and tested several prototypes of CMOS monolithic active pixel sensors (MAPS). This paper shows the design a new mixed-mode chip prototype composed bidimensional matrix pixels, an off-pixel digital readout sparsification circuit. logic is based on commercial standard cells implements optimized non token technique. Also, MAPS emulator software toool presented. project aimed at...
This report represents the response of Intensity Frontier Quark Flavor Physics Working Group to Snowmass charge. We summarize current status quark flavor physics and identify many exciting future opportunities for studying properties strange, charm, bottom quarks. The ability these studies reveal effects new at high mass scales make them an essential ingredient in a well-balanced experimental particle program.
A different approach to the design of CMOS MAPS has recently been proposed. By exploiting triple well option a commercial process, deep n-well (DNW) sensor realized with full in-pixel signal processing chain: charge preamplifier, shaper, discriminator and latch. This readout beeing compatible data sparsification will improve speed potential sensors. The first protoype chips, STMicroelectronics 130 nm proved new proposed for DNW is viable good sensitivity photons from <sup...
Modern experiments search for extremely rare processes hidden in much larger background levels. As the experiment complexity, accelerator backgrounds and luminosity increase we need increasingly exclusive selections to efficiently select events inside huge background. We present a fast, high-quality, track-based event selection self-triggered SLIM5 silicon telescope. This is an R&D whose innovative trigger will show that high rejection factors manageable rates can be achieved using...
We present first evidence that the cosine of CP-violating weak phase 2β is positive, and hence exclude trigonometric multifold solutions Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) Unitarity Triangle using a time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis B0→D(*)h0 with D→K0Sπ+π− decays, where h0∈{π0,η,ω} denotes light unflavored neutral hadron.
