Partial-wave analysis has been performed on 120 000 ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$ events coherently produced nuclear targets in a ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ beam of 40 GeV/c. Evidence found for ${0}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ $S$ resonance at 1.24 GeV with width $\ensuremath{\Gamma}\ensuremath{\approx}0.36$ GeV. The data also suggest the presence another similar near 1.8 These observations can be interpreted as radial...

We present the results of an experimental investigation production in nuclear Coulomb field low-invariant-mass pions pairs by reaction ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$Z\ensuremath{\rightarrow}${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$Z at 40 GeV. have obtained for first time value \ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}3\ensuremath{\pi} coupling constant...

The silicon-vertex tracker (SVT) for the BaBar Experiment at PEP-H Asymmetric B Factory Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), is a five-layer double-sided ac-coupled silicon-microstrip detector. It crucial element precise measurement of decay position mesons, satisfying severe constraints imposed by accelerator design, in terms geometry interaction region and conditions operation. In following paper, SVT performance described. Radiation issues are discussed results different tests aimed...
