Interferometric experiments designed to detect the highly redshifted 21-cm signal from neutral hydrogen are producing increasingly stringent constraints on power spectrum, but some k-modes remain systematics-dominated. Mutual coupling is a major systematic that must be overcome in order signal, and simulations reproduce effects seen data can guide strategies for mitigating mutual coupling. In this paper, we analyse 12 nights of Hydrogen Epoch Reionization Array compare against include...
The 21 cm transition from neutral Hydrogen promises to be the best observational probe of Epoch Reionisation (EoR). This has led construction low-frequency radio interferometric arrays, such as Reionization Array (HERA), aimed at systematically mapping this emission for first time. Precision calibration, however, is a requirement in observations. Due spatial compactness HERA, array prone effects mutual coupling, which inevitably lead non-smooth calibration errors that contaminate data. When...
Efforts to reduce infections acquired during a hospital stay through improvements in the quality of care have had measurable results many settings. In pediatric intensive units, right interventions can save lives and money. We found that improving practices hand hygiene, oral care, central-line catheter reduced hospital-acquired improved mortality rates among children admitted large unit 2007–09. addition, on average patients after were fully implemented spent 2.3 fewer days hospital, their...
As VCRs and DVD players become obsolete, online course offerings increase, flipped pedagogy becomes ubiquitous, academic librarians are frequently confronted with requests from instructors for streaming media. The authors of this article describe the reasoning process by which a policy best practices to manage media were developed at large public university. This is guided principles set forth in U.S. Copyright Act’s fair use doctrine (17 U.S.C. § 107) ARL’s Code Best Practices Fair Use...
Global collaboration is increasingly important across universities and conservation biology organizations. In this example, a partnership resulted in the creation of short course aimed at exploring communication forms digital tools that facilitate scholarly biology. Questions authors hoped to answer were: What are benefits limitations these tools? How can researchers use methods share data, show impact, connect colleagues stakeholders? Why open access even more highly collaborative...
Theory is increasingly important as libraries transition traditional reference practices to online learning environments. This paper suggests and explores the boundaries of a new theory interaction in environment that grounded theories educational transactional distance. The examines an operational definition librarian’s instructional intent e-mail service, considering it level customized content canned, messages at institutions provide service. tested statistically, suggesting when canned...
Abstract The focus of “Educating the Educators: Outreach to College Education Distance Faculty and Native American Students” is examine explore relationship between Library regarding provision promotion services students faculty taking teaching classes virtually at satellite campus computer lab locations throughout state. It will include an overview special challenges facing in providing these a college that offers large number distance education classes, enrolls students, includes majority...
The 50th annual conference of the North American Thermal Analysis Society is being held jointly with 8th Baekeland Symposium to bring those communities together. A collection assessment project was conducted in 1998 of the twenty-eight community college library/Library Resource Center (LRC) collections Florida.1 The evaluative materials provided to each institutions produced a number outcomes. To assess project’s impact, survey fall 2000. impact study found that, opinion library administrators, Florida Community College Collection Assessment had influenced appropriation additional funds, informed librarians’ development decisions, and affected...
The purpose of this evaluation study was to examine the longitudinal impact implementation Duffy’s Quality Caring Model© on patients’ perceptions nurse caring medical, surgical, and telemetry units in a community hospital. Data collection points included pre implementation, 6 months, 10 22 months post implementation. After each data point, leaders developed interventions based improve scores. Findings demonstrated higher patient perception scores at point nursing unit.
Hunter Library at Western Carolina University is a midsized academic institution managing 10 large e-book packages and about 80,000 individual titles. Managing e-books involves working with multiple vendors staff from different areas of technical services. This paper examines issues in workflows; particular, we will share the results project to document our workflows utilize an existing technology, Microsoft SharePoint, better manage this workflow information communication among involved...

Background: Our understanding of the interaction between host immune system and cancer has evolved rapidly over previous 10 years due to clinical success induced by checkpoint inhibition. Previous immunologic work can now be realized in combination strategies. Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) offers significant opportunities its natural induction innate adaptive immunity, large payload, excellent safety profile. Methods: MVA vectors were administered subcutaneously (SC), intravenously (IV) or...
