(Abridged) We describe here the most ambitious survey currently planned in optical, Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST). A vast array of science will be enabled by a single wide-deep-fast sky survey, and LSST have unique capability faint time domain. The design is driven four main themes: probing dark energy matter, taking an inventory Solar System, exploring transient optical sky, mapping Milky Way. wide-field ground-based system sited at Cerro Pach\'{o}n northern Chile. telescope 8.4 m...

We present a forward-modelling simulation framework designed to model the data products from Dark Energy Survey (DES). This forward-model process can be thought of as transfer function -- mapping cosmological and astronomical signals final used by scientists. Using output simulations (the Blind Cosmology Challenge), we generate simulated images Ultra Fast Image Simulator, Berge et al. 2013) catalogs representative DES data. We report the discovery of two new candidate stellar systems in constellation Cetus using data from first years Dark Energy Survey (DES). The objects, DES J0111-1341 and J0225+0304, are located at a heliocentric distance ~ 25 kpc appear to have old metal-poor populations. Their distances Sagittarius orbital plane, 1.73 (DES J0111-1341) 0.50 J0225+0304), indicate that they possibly associated with dwarf stream. half-light radius (r_h 4.55 pc) luminosity (M_V +0.3) consistent it being an...

At Vera C. Rubin Observatory, the need to manage metrics and telemetry data efficiently led creation of Sasquatch. Sasquatch consolidates our high-frequency harness, which captures observatory engineering data, with science performance measured by LSST Science Pipelines. utilizes InfluxDB, a time series database, store query time-series data. We combine InfluxDB Enterprise Apache Kafka deploy solution on Kubernetes platform. Our current setup at US Data Facility enables real-time access...

The Rubin Observatory Commissioning Camera (ComCam) is a scaled down (144 Megapixel) version of the 3.2 Gigapixel LSSTCam which will start Legacy Survey Space and Time (LSST), currently scheduled to in 2024. purpose ComCam verify interfaces with major subsystems observatory as well evaluate overall performance system prior commissioning hardware on telescope. With delivery all telescope components summit site by 2020, team has already started high-level interface verification, exercising...
