Objective:We have used diffusion tensor tractography (DTT) for the evaluation of somatotopic organization corticospinal tracts (CSTs) in posterior limb internal capsule (PLIC) and cerebral peduncle (CP). Materials Methods:We imaged brains nine healthy right-handed subjects. We a spin-echo echo-planar imaging (EPI) sequence with 12 diffusion-sensitized directions.DTT was calculated an angular threshold 35 degrees fractional anistropy (FA) 0.25.We determined location CSTs by using two regions...

Clinical stage of gastric cancer is currently assessed by computed tomography. Accurate clinical staging important for the tailoring therapy. This study evaluated accuracy N using stomach protocol tomography.Between March 2004 and November 2012, 171 patients with underwent preoperative tomography (Jeju National University Hospital; Jeju, Korea). Their demographic characteristics were reviewed retrospectively. Two radiologists cN axial coronal images, was matched pathologic results. The...

Abstract Purpose: To evaluate the relative enhancement of liver, pancreas, focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH), pancreas‐to‐liver index, and FNH‐to‐liver index in hepatic arterial dominant phase (HADP) after injection hepatocyte‐specific MRI contrast agents, gadoxetic acid gadobenate dimeglumine, on 3 1.5 Tesla (T) same patient. Materials Methods: The database was retrospectively searched to identify consecutive patients who underwent abdominal at 3T 1.5T systems, using both 0.025 mmol/kg...

Abstract Background Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is related to working memory impairment. Since patients with OCD have difficulty controlling their obsessive thoughts, removal of irrelevant information might be important in the pathophysiology OCD. However, little known about brain activity during from Our goal was explore potential deficits inhibitory function processes Methods Sixteen and 20 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited. We compared prefrontal alpha beta band derived...

Intestinal duplications are rare congenital anomalies that can occur anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract. They most commonly located ileum and usually detected infancy or early childhood.Duplicated segments firmly attached to sometimes communicate with normal tract.Rarely, intestinal completely isolated, thus not associated at all any part of tract.Such do share a common blood supply adjacent segment, unlike usual form duplication, but rather have separate vascular pedicle.Reports isolated...

MR imaging has unique benefits for evaluating the liver because of its high-resolution capability and ability to permit detailed assessment anatomic lesions. In uncooperative patients, motion artifacts can impair image quality lead loss diagnostic information. this setting, recent advances in motion-resistant techniques, including faster protocols (e.g., dual-echo magnetization-prepared rapid-acquisition gradient echo (MP-RAGE), view-sharing technique), data under-sampling recalled (GRE)...

Recent studies suggest that liver cirrhosis is reversible after administering oral nucleos(t)ide analogue therapy to patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. However, few have addressed whether esophageal varices can regress such therapy. We report a case of complete regression during entecavir in HBV-related cirrhosis, suggesting complications as the long-term suppression HBV replication.
