Abstract Background Since December 2019, a cluster of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China and spread rapidly from to other countries. In-hospital mortality are high severe cases cardiac injury characterized by elevated troponin common among them. The mechanism the relationship between in-hospital remained unclear. Studies focused on COVID-19 patients scarce. Objectives To investigate association with confirmed or suspected COVID-19. Methods...

A case of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs)-associated myocarditis with reversible advanced atrioventricular block (AVB) was reported. We innovatively used active fixation lead connected to an external device for prolonged temporary pacing until conduction recovered. Invasive electrophysiology studies were performed evaluate in detail. Long-term follow-up nearly 120-days and repeated long-term electrocardiography conducted ensure the system truly

Introduction Amyloid light-chain cardiac amyloidosis is a progressive infiltrative disease characterized by the deposition of amyloid fibrils in tissue, which can cause serious atrioventricular block requiring pacemaker implantation. Left bundle branch pacing has emerged as an alternative method for delivering physiological to achieve electrical synchrony left ventricle. However, patients with not been studied detail. Therefore, this study, we present case patient amyloidosis. Case summary A...

Abstract Background Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) has reached a pandemic level. Cardiac injury is not uncommon among COVID‐19 patients. We sought to describe the electrocardiographic characteristics and identify prognostic significance of electrocardiography (ECG) findings patients with COVID‐19. Hypothesis ECG abnormality was associated higher risk death. Methods Consecutive laboratory‐confirmed definite in‐hospital outcome were retrospectively included. Demographic clinical data...

Background Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a widely used treatment for atrial fibrillation, reducing the risk of cardiac arrhythmia. Detailed visualization and quantification scarring has potential to improve preprocedural decision-making postprocedural prognosis. Conventional bright-blood late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) MRI can help detect scars; however, its suboptimal myocardium blood contrast inhibits accurate scar estimation. Purpose To develop test free-breathing LGE approach that...

Low-voltage zones (LVZ) are surrogate markers for cardiac fibrosis, which contribute to the maintenance of atrial fibrillation (AF). The aim this study was investigate effect distribution left (LA) LVZ on outcome following catheter ablation. This retrospective enrolled patients with AF who underwent initial ablation. were defined as areas bipolar voltage amplitude <0.5 mV. atrium divided into six regions (anterior wall, roof, posterior lateral septum, and inferior wall) describe LVZ. primary...

Abstract Cardiac amyloidosis is a rare disease due to the deposition of amyloid fibrils in heart. Clinical manifestation heart includes restrictive failure and arrhythmia, when myocardium conduction system are involved respectively. Arrhythmia can present as atrioventricular block (AVB), sick sinus syndrome (SSS), therefore cardiac may require permanent pacemaker implantation. However, stability parameters patients remains unknown. We conducted an observational retrospective study diagnosed...

Abstract Background Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained arrhythmia, and catheter ablation has been shown to be a highly effective treatment for patients with symptomatic AF. Very early recurrence (VER) of AF within 7 days after common, but clinical significance VER remains unclear. We have examined usefulness noninvasive electrocardiography monitor detection relationship between late (LR). Methods Eighty‐eight paroxysmal or persistent atrial were retrospectively included....

Background: Left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) has been persuasively adopted in clinical practice to achieve electrical and mechanical synchrony of the left ventricle. However, LBBAP amyloid light chain cardiac amyloidosis (AL-CA) patients not studied detail. Hypothesis: could be a feasible safe approach rectify conduction system diseases AL-CA patients. Aim: To study feasibility safety Methods: Consecutive with newly implanted pacemaker our centre between 1st January 2022 31st December...

Objective It is uncertain that systolic functional markers in ASE 2009 guidelines for echocardiographic assessment of the right heart are suitable to patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). Using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as a gold standard, we detected sensitivity, specificity and threshold ventricular AF patients. Methods A total 16 were enrolled PUMCH from Sep. 2014 Dec. 2014, prospectively collecting their clinical data, MRI values. Storing 2D movie images apical...

Abstract Left atrial dissection is a rare complication of mitral valve replacement surgery. Here, case left followed by valvular obstruction was presented. It suspected that the caused trematodiases infection. Cardiac surgery finally performed, which not only confirmed diagnosis but also acted as an effective treatment. Especially, essential value to confirm perforation locating at basal posterior wall ventricle, repair dissection, and relieve obstruction.
