ABSTRACT Two isolates of a virus the genus Orthobunyavirus (family Bunyaviridae ) were obtained from hemorrhagic fever cases during large disease outbreak in East Africa 1997 and 1998. Sequence analysis regions three genomic RNA segments (provisionally referred to as Garissa virus) suggested that it was genetic reassortant with S L derived Bunyamwera but an M segment unidentified . While high diversity (52%) revealed by nucleotide sequences 21 members , Ngari almost identical. Surprisingly,...

Abstract Background Chloroplast genome resources can provide useful information for the evolution of plant species. Tea ( Camellia sinensis ) is among most economically valuable member . Here, we determined chloroplast first natural triploid Chinary type tea (‘Wuyi narcissus’ cultivar var. , CWN and conducted comparison with diploid CSS two types Assamica teas assamica : Chinese tea, CSA Indian CIA ). Further, evolutionary mechanism relationships species based on were discussed. Results...

The Simbu serogroup of the genus Bunyavirus , family Bunyaviridae contains 25 viruses. Previous serological studies provided important information regarding some but not all relationships among This report describes nucleotide sequence determination nucleocapsid (N) gene small genomic segment 14 viruses and partial G2 glycoprotein-coding region (encoded by medium RNA segment) 19 overall phylogeny inferred from analyses N was similar to that protein-coding region. Both revealed have evolved...

A protein of 110 kDa (termed VP110) from the envelope fraction White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) was identified by SDS-PAGE and mass spectrometry. The resulting amino acid sequence matched an open reading frame (wsv035) containing Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) motif in WSSV genome database. To validate mass-spectrometry result, C-terminal segment wsv035 expressed Escherichia coli as a fusion protein, which used to produce specific antibody. Analysis Western blotting immunoelectron microscopy demonstrated...

This study describes a novel species of Gekko (Squamata: Gekkonidae) based on its distinct morphological features and molecular evidence, which was identified in the Dabie Mountains border Anhui Henan provinces Central China. kaiyaisp. nov. could be distinguished from congeners owing to characteristics, such as being medium body sized gecko (snout-vent length, 56.98-64.99 mm, n = 4, females; 50.03-61.56 11, males); nostrils scale contact with rostral scale; tubercles dorsal limb, while upper...

Here, combining PacBio and Illumina sequencing data, we reported the complete chloroplast genome of first Wuyi tea (Bohea), Camellia sinensis cv. Dahongpao (DHP) with very high economic value. The was 157,077 bp in length, a large single copy (LSC) region 86,633 bp, small single-copy (SSC) 18,282 separated by two inverted repeat (IR) regions 26,081 each. It contained total 137 genes, an overall GC content 37.29%. phylogenetic analysis showed that DHP sister to C. Longjing.

Wuyi tea (Camellia. sinensis, Synonym: Thea Bohea L.) is recognized as the most prestigious oolong in China. For germplasm identification and protection, complete chloroplast genomes of five classical varieties were determined by next-generation sequencing. These showed highly conserved structures are 157,024-157,126 bp length, consisting a pair reverse repeats (IR) regions 25,944-26,095 bp, one large single-copy (LSC) region 86,594-86,859 small single copy (SSC) 18,276-18,291 bp. Introduction Among cultivated tea plants ( Camellia sinensis ), only four mitogenomes for C. var. assamica (CSA) have been reported so far but none (CSS). Here, two of CSS (CSSDHP and CSSRG) sequenced assembled. Methods Using a combination Illumina Nanopore data the first time. Comparison between CSA revealed huge heterogeneity. Results The number repetitive sequences was proportional to mitogenome size dominated intracellular gene transfer segments (accounting 88.7%- 92.8% total length)....
