Abstract Carbon dots (Cdots) are an important probe for imaging and sensing applications because of their fluorescence property, good biocompatibility, low toxicity. However, complex procedures strong acid treatment often required Cdots suffer from photoluminescence (PL) emission. Herein, a facile general strategy using carbonization precursors then extraction with solvents is proposed the preparation nitrogen‐doped (N‐Cdots) 3‐(3,4‐dihydroxyphenyl)‐ L ‐alanine ( ‐DOPA), ‐histidine,...
Abstract The study of the composition, morphology, and surface structure carbon dots (Cdots) is critical to understanding their effect on photo‐ electrochemiluminescence (PL ECL) Cdots in selected applications. Herein, two kinds were prepared with 3‐(3,4‐dihydroxyphenyl)‐ L ‐alanine ( ‐DOPA) as precursor. by using a carbonization‐extraction strategy have low oxidation level are denoted reduced (r‐Cdots). obtained carbonization‐oxidation process highly oxidized (o‐Cdots). o‐Cdots core...
In this study, we report a simple method to coat mesoporous silica onto carbon nanotubes (CNTs) via two-step procedure. Mesoporous CNTs@SiO2 composites have been obtained by extracting cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) an ion-exchange procedure after silica-coated were synthesized with the aid of cationic surfactant CTAB. The coating process was explicitly investigated, and possible formation mechanism proposed, which reveals that ratio CTAB/CNTs plays critical role in process....
Polyglycolic acid (PGA) is an emerging biodegradable plastic material. Together with polylactic (PLA), PGA considered a suitable alternative to conventional plastics and has been widely used in biomedical food packaging industries. However, degradable continue face the drawbacks of harsh degradation environment long time, may harm human body. Therefore, our study focused on assessing effects microplastics PLA development neurobehavior zebrafish. The results showed that had little effect 3-10...
Abstract Currently, surfactants are widely distributed in the environment. As organic pollutants, their toxicities have drawn extensive attention. In this study, effects of anionic [sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) ], cationic [dodecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (1227)] and non-ionic [fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (AEO) ] on zebrafish larval behaviour were evaluated. Five behavioural parameters recorded using a rest/wake assay, including rest total, number bouts, bouts length,...
Bioactive surfaces with appropriate hydrophilicity for protein immobilization can be achieved by hydrophobin II (HFBI) self-assembly on mica and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surfaces. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy water contact angle measurements illustrated that the surface wettability changed from superhydrophobic or superhydrophilic (mica) to moderately hydrophilic, which is suitable (chicken IgG) both substrate The results suggest HFBI assembly, one kind of Trichoderma reesei, may a...
Environmental endocrine chemicals have various adverse effects on the development of vertebrates. Fluorene-9-bisphenol (BHPF), a substitute bisphenol A (BPA), is widely used in commercial production. The BHPF and behavior are unclear. Melatonin plays protective role under many unfavorable conditions. In this study, we investigated behaviors zebrafish whether melatonin reverses induced by BHPF. Zebrafish embryos were exposed to 0.1, 10, or 1000 nmol/L with without 1 μmol/L from 2 hours...
Decabromodiphenyl ethane (DBDPE), a widely used new brominated flame retardant, is added into flammable materials to achieve fire retardation. As it continuously detected in the environment, has become an emerging environmental pollutant. However, effects of DBDPE exposure on oocyte maturation and its underlying mechanisms remain unknown. This study found that inhibited rate germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD), first polar body extrusion (PBE) fertilization mouse oocytes. After 14 h DBDPE,...
Abstract In this study, zebrafish larvae are introduced as an in vivo platform to examine the neurotoxicity and developmental toxicity associated with continuous exposure a concentration gradient of different sizes SiO 2 nanoparticles (15 nm 50 diameter) determine dose effect size nanoparticle (NP)‐induced toxicity. Bovine serum albumin (BSA‐V) is utilized stabilizing agent prevent coagulation nanoparticles. To best our knowledge, study first describe locomotor activity assays linking...
