We report high-resolution 1.6 $\micron$ polarized intensity ($PI$) images of the circumstellar disk around Herbig Ae star AB Aur at a radial distance 22 AU ($0."15$) up to 554 (3.$"$85), which have been obtained by high-contrast instrument HiCIAO with dual-beam polarimetry. revealed complicated and asymmetrical structures in inner part ($\lesssim$140 AU) disk, while confirming previously reported outer ($r$ $\gtrsim$200 spiral structure. imaged double ring structure $\sim$40 $\sim$100...

We present the direct imaging discovery of an extrasolar planet, or possible low-mass brown dwarf, at a projected separation 55 +/- 2 AU (1.058 0.007 arcsec) from B9-type star Kappa And. The planet was detected with Subaru/HiCIAO during SEEDS survey, and confirmed as bound companion via common proper motion measurements. Observed near-infrared magnitudes J = 16.3 0.3, H 15.2 0.2, Ks 14.6 0.4, L' 13.12 0.09 indicate temperature ~1700 K. galactic kinematics host are consistent membership in...

The continuous intragastric in vivo enteral feeding model the rat developed by Tsukamoto and French has been very useful; however, it requires surgical expertise. Recently, we found that Kupffer cells isolated from rats treated only once with ethanol were sensitized to endotoxin 24 hours later. Accordingly, these experiments designed determine if a new, simple animal of hepatotoxicity could be based on cell sensitization. Female Wistar given (5 g/kg body weight) every intragastrically....

Importance
Extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) is expected to improve the neurological outcomes of patients with refractory cardiac arrest; however, it invasive, expensive, and requires substantial human resources. The ability predict would assist in patient selection for ECPR.
Objective
To develop validate a prediction model out-of-hospital arrest shockable rhythm treated
Design, Setting, Participants
This prognostic study analyzed data from...

Destruction of Kupffer cells with gadolinium chloride (GdCl 3 ) and intestinal sterilization antibiotics diminished ethanol-induced steatosis in the enteral ethanol feeding model. However, mechanisms fatty liver remain unclear. Accordingly, role fat accumulation was studied. Rats were given (5 g/kg body wt) intragastrically, tissue triglycerides measured enzymatically. isolated 0–24 h after ethanol, PGE 2 production by ELISA, whereas inducible cyclooxygenase (COX-2) mRNA detected RT-PCR. Debris disks around young main-sequence stars often have gaps and cavities which for a long time been interpreted as possibly being caused by planets. In recent years, several giant planet discoveries made in systems hosting of precisely this nature, further implying that interactions with planets could be common cause such disk structures. As part the SEEDS high-contrast imaging survey, we are surveying population debris-disk-hosting implied their spectral energy distributions, order to...

Abstract
Background Cardiac arrest leads to an abrupt cessation of blood flow, resulting in severe metabolic acidosis. Base excess (BE) is a widely used marker However, its prognostic value cardiac patients remains unclear, as previous studies have not adjusted for the time from testing. This study aimed assess association between BE levels and neurological outcomes with out-of-hospital (OHCA) by adjusting onset tests. Methods Osaka, Japan, enrolled consecutive OHCA...

Most exoplanets detected by direct imaging thus far have been characterized relatively hot (≳1000 K) and cloudy atmospheres. A surprising feature in some of their atmospheres has a distinct lack methane, possibly implying non-equilibrium chemistry. Recently, we reported the discovery planetary companion to Sun-like star GJ 504 using Subaru/HiCIAO within Strategic Exploration Exoplanets Disks with Subaru survey. The planet is substantially colder (<600 than previously imaged planets,...
