본 연구는 국내에서 개발된 베타-카로틴 강화 유전자변형 벼(GM 벼)와 그 모종 벼인 낙동벼(non-GM 벼)로부터 쌀(현미, 백미)의 일반성분, 베타-카로틴, 지방산, 아미노산, 무기질 함량을 분석하여 쌀에서 주요 영양성분 조성에 차이가 있는지를 비교하기 위해 수행되었다.
