In this paper, a new electron optical design scheme of silicon tip field emission cathode gun is proposed based on the Pierce and Einzel lens theory. The simulation optimization study carried out by using Computer Simulation Software (CST). results show that when normal angle between edge focusing electrode plane 42.0°, voltage 144 V, an beam spot size 8 nm can be obtained.
