The deformation characteristics of soil subjected to vacuum pressure are discussed and an approximate method is proposed for calculating settlement lateral displacement the ground induced by consolidation. Laboratory oedometer test results indicate that if alone larger than stress required maintain at-rest (no horizontal strain) condition, there will be inward induce generally less a surcharge load same magnitude. In case field consolidation, confining acting on element can regarded as...

A microbeam plasma was successfully generated by using an originally designed capacitively coupled rf reactor which composed of a needle cathode (1 mm φ), cylindrical anode (3 and quartz tubing inserted between the anode. When operated in open air helium steadily fed as discharge gas, beam (φ<2 mm) blew out into air. Conditions for generating stable were investigated. Preliminary results are presented on etching Si this plasma, well emission analysis plasma.

The electrical and physical properties of reactively sputtered HfO2 thin films on predeposited Hf metal layer were investigated. Compared with a conventional deposition process, i.e., direct Si substrate, the HfO2/Hf stacked capacitor exhibits excellent characteristics such as capacitance equivalent thickness (CET) 1.3 nm lower leakage current 2×10−5 (A/cm2) at −1 V gate bias. Based structural analysis well characteristics, interfacial is found to be controllable minimum CET higher...
