Tumor-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) present in bodily fluids are emerging liquid biopsy markers for non-invasive cancer diagnosis and treatment monitoring. Because the majority of EVs circulation not tumor origin, it is critical to develop new platforms capable enriching tumor-derived from blood. Herein, we introduce a biostructure-inspired NanoVilli Chip, highly efficient reproducible immunoaffinity capture blood plasma samples. Anti-EpCAM-grafted silicon nanowire arrays were...

Well-preserved mRNA in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) offers an ideal material for conducting molecular profiling of tumors, thereby providing a noninvasive diagnostic solution guiding treatment intervention and monitoring disease progression. However, it is technically challenging to purify CTCs while retaining high-quality mRNA.Here, we demonstrate covalent chemistry-based nanostructured silicon substrate ("Click Chip") CTC purification that leverages bioorthogonal ligation-mediated...

To identify MRI features of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) that predict microvascular invasion (MVI) and postoperative intrahepatic recurrence in patients without peritumoral hepatobiliary phase (HBP) hypointensity. One hundred thirty with HCC who underwent preoperative gadoxetate-enhanced curative hepatic resection were retrospectively reviewed. Two radiologists reviewed all MR images assessed the radiological HCCs. The ability HBP hypointensity to MVI was analyzed. We then predicted...

Stent migration from the pancreatic duct (PD) is a relatively rare but serious complication [1]. If not treated in timely way, it can lead to illnesses, such as recurrent pancreatitis, jaundice, cysts, infection, etc. [2]. It challenging remove displaced PD stent, especially presence of stenosis, stent distortion, and adhesion surrounding tissues [3].

Noninvasive identification of high-risk varices (HRV) in cirrhosis patients is significantly value because it could help avoid some unnecessary upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and repeat a short time to evaluate the efficiency non-selective beta blockers therapy. This study aims 4D flow MRI combined with precontrast T1 identifying HRV. Our results indicated that model including SMV forward volume, maximum blood flow, liver mapping, spleen mapping effectively identify HRV patients.

Abstract Objectives To explore the impact of hepatic steatosis measured by MRI-proton density fat fraction (MRI-PDFF) on liver stiffness measurement (LSM) value and its diagnostic performance for staging fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Methods A total 914 CHB who underwent biopsy MRI-PDFF were retrospectively reviewed. The influence LSM was assessed using univariate multivariate linear analyses. assess LSM, a series ROC analyses performed compared stratifying into...

Motivation: Patients with liver cirrhosis often have heart-related physiological and pathological changes. Goal(s): The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness using multiple parameters for cardiac MRI quantification in identifying subtle structural functional changes patients cirrhosis. Approach: Cardiac methods were employed, along Mann-Whitney U tests Spearman correlation analyses Statistical analyses. Results: Our results indicated that showed an increase myocardial...

Background: Due to the low contrast between vascular lumen and vessel wall, conventional computed tomography (CT) is not an effective method for visualizing wall. The purpose of this study was assess feasibility wall visualization using contrast-enhanced dual-energy CT (DECT)-derived water-calcium material decomposition (WMD) subtraction-based dark-blood imaging (DBI). An additional objective determine association descending aorta thickness (WT) area (WA) with cardiovascular disease (CVD)...

Motivation: The mechanism of impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) in chronic liver disease (CLD) may be related to reduced insulin secretion caused by pancreatic fibrosis. Goal(s): This study aims evaluating the value T1-mapping MRI quantifying ECV fraction for predicting IGT CLD. Approach: A total 184 CLD patients were recruited this study. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was conducted identify independent predictors Results: After adjusting age, gender, body mass...

Lung adenosquamous carcinoma (ASC) is a rare heterogeneous tumor containing two distinct components of adenocarcinoma (ADC) and squamous cell (SQCC). The limited biopsy sampling the primary might have overlooked either ADC component or SQCC component, resulting in misdiagnosis pure histology. Genotyping for driver mutations now routinely performed clinical settings to identify actionable oncogenic gene arrangements. Additionally, somatic can potentially serve as marker clonal relationships....
