Purpose: Abnormal activation of the NF-κB pathway induces a more aggressive phenotype cutaneous melanoma. Understanding mechanisms involved in melanoma may identify novel targets for this pathway. KPC1, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, is regulator The objective study was to investigate regulating KPC1 expression and its clinical impact melanoma.Experimental Design: epigenetic regulation were assessed large cohorts clinically well-annotated tissues (tissue microarrays; n = 137, JWCI cohort; 40)...

High-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) is a monocyte-derived inflammatory mediator that released in some conditions including shock, tissue injury, and endotoxin-induced lethality. In this study, we determined the plasma hepatic levels of HMGB1 drug-induced rat acute liver failure (ALF) model investigated effect blockade on ALF. Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats, weighing 250 to 300 g, were used for study. d-galactosamine was injected into penile vein induce To determine levels, samples serially...

Resistance to standard cisplatin-based chemotherapies leads worse survival outcomes for patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Therefore, there is an urgent need understand the aberrant mechanisms driving resistance in ESCC tumors. We hypothesized that ubiquilin-4 (UBQLN4), a protein targets ubiquitinated proteins proteasome, regulates expression of Meiotic Recombination 11 Homolog A (MRE11A), critical component MRN complex and DNA damage repair pathways. Initially,...

Intramucosal carcinomas do not metastasise, but 5% to 10% of patients with submucosal cancers show lymph node involvement. Some these occur in pedunculated or semipedunculated polyps, which are usually treated by endoscopic polypectomy. Of 214 colorectal polyps removed endoscopically at the Keio University Hospital from 1976 1979, six showed invasive carcinoma. All were subjected colon resection, and two found have metastases. Consideration cases literature suggests that resection is...

We performed transposed brachiobasilic arteriovenous fistula (TBBAVF) in 24 patients from January 2006 to August 2010. The operative time was 90-210 minutes (mean: 136 minutes). All had edema of an upper extremity and 2 wound complications. Major complications were not seen. primary patency rates at one two years 89.7% 69.0%, respectively. secondary 95.7% 73.6%, TBBAVF has good with few severe (English Translation Jpn J Phlebology 2011; 22: 33-38.).

Purpose: To compare the long-term outcomes of most widely used third-generation stent grafts, Endurant and Excluder in Japanese patients using a multicenter registry. Materials Methods: A retrospective analysis endovascular aneurysm repairs for abdominal aortic iliac artery aneurysms either or grafts from January 2012 to July 2019 at 10 hospitals was performed. Results: total 332 378 respectively, were analyzed. Although patients’ characteristics generally similar two groups, group exhibited...
