Significance By affecting male fertility in crops, climate temperature change has a major impact on global food security. Here we show the role of two rice leucine-rich repeat–receptor-like kinases, TMS10 and TMS10L, which redundantly control under fluctuating temperatures. This finding provides insights into how plants overcome adversary changes to achieve normal new genetic resource for crop hybrid seed production.
Hyperuricemia is an important risk factor for many diseases including hypertension and type 2 diabetes. This study investigated compared the effects of hydrolysates two sea cucumber species, Apostichopus japonicus Acaudina leucoprocta, on alleviation diet-induced hyperuricemia renal inflammation. The structure abundance oligopeptides in enzymatic A. (EH-JAP) leucoprocta (EH-LEU) were identified via MALDI-TOF/TOF-MS, anti-hyperuricemic anti-inflammatory explored a hyperuricemic mouse model....
Recently, interest in using whole food-derived mixtures to alleviate chronic metabolic syndrome through potential synergistic interactions among different components is increasing. In this study, the effects and mechanisms of tuna meat oligopeptides (TMOP) on hyperuricemia associated renal inflammation were investigated mice. Dietary administration TMOP alleviated phenotypes, reprogramed uric acid metabolism pathways, inhibited activation NLRP3 inflammasome TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling...
Conventional methods for the detection of Vibrio parahemolyticus (VP) usually need tedious, labor-intensive processes, and have low sensitivity, which further limits their practical applications. Herein, we developed a simple efficient colorimetry surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) dual-mode immunosensor sensitive VP, by employing giant Au vesicles with anchored tiny gold nanowires (AuNW) as smart probe. Due to larger specific surface special hollow structure vesicles, silver staining...
Previous studies confirmed that dietary supplements of fish oil and krill can alleviate obesity in mice, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. This study aims to discern whether treatment change structure gut microbiota during alleviation. The ICR mice received high-fat diet (HFD) continuously for 12 weeks after two acclimatization with a standard chow diet, fed were used as control. In groups HFD supplementation, weight gains attenuated liver index, total cholesterol, triglyceride...
Contradiction between ultrafast nucleation and deposition rates of lithium (Li) crystals at high rate heterogeneity Li+ flux resulting from concentration polarization has compromised the performance Li metal anodes especially areal capacity current density. Here, multifunctional protective layer consisting MoO3 nanobelt films (MoO3eNF) is introduced on surface by a simple rolling method. The strong binding energy guides homogeneous Li, while networks provide effective ion channels for...
Studies have documented the benefits of fish oil in different diseases because its high n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid content. However, these studies mostly used commercially available supplements with a ratio 18/12 for eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic (DHA). increasing DHA content this commonly might bring out varied metabolic effect, which remained unclear. Thus, study, novel tuna (TO) was applied to investigate effect high-DHA on alteration gut microbiota obesity high-fat diet mice....
Scope The effects and mechanism of tuna bone powder (TBP) on glucocorticoid‐induced osteoporosis (GIOP) alleviation in terms signaling pathway coregulation gut microbiota modulation are investigated. Methods results size distribution composition TBP measured. GIOP female mice induced by dexamethasone intramuscular injection used to examine the anti‐osteoporosis a 10 week experiment, improved mineral density microarchitecture observed via micro‐CT. In addition, qRT‐PCR show that NF‐κB is...
Hyperuricaemia is a disease associated with elevated serum uric acid content, which has emerged rapidly in recent decades. The drugs used to treat clinical hyperuricaemia have side effects, and their safety poor. However, anserine natural carnosine derivative that shows an anti-hyperuricaemic effect. A previous study demonstrated inhibits synthesis promotes excretion, but there no evidence regarding the effect of from perspective gut microbiota. In this study, anti-inflammatory effects were...
Hyperuricemia (HUA) is the second most common metabolic disease nowadays, and characterized by permanently increased concentrations of serum uric acid. In this study, two novel hexapeptides (GPAGPR GPSGRP) were identified from Apostichopus japonicus hydrolysate predicted to have xanthine oxidase (XOD) inhibitory activity molecular docking. Their in vitro XOD inhibition rates reached 37.3% 48.6%, respectively, at a concentration 40 mg mL-1. Subsequently, vivo experiments carried out HUA mouse...
Lactobacillus plantarum, a versatile lactic acid-fermenting bacterium, isolated from the traditional pickles in Ningbo of China, was chosen for grass carp fermentation, which could also improve flavor carp. We here explored central metabolic pathways L. plantarum by using metabolomic approach, and further proved potential metabolomics combined with proteomics approaches basic research on changes metabolites corresponding fermentation mechanism fermentation. This study provides cellular...
This study aims to investigate the protective effect of Apostichopus japonicus oligopeptide (AJOP) on hyperuricemia, demonstrate modulation gastrointestinal tract (GIT) microbiota, and clarify underlying microbiota-dependent mechanism.Hyperuricemic mice treated with AJOP subjected corresponding fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) are used observe beneficial effects microbiota. Gene transcriptions measured using quantitative real-time PCR. The GIT (stomach, colon, cecum, feces) is analyzed...
Melanoma is a kind of skin cancer with high malignancy and strong proliferation invasion abilities. Chemotherapy drugs in the clinic have disadvantages price toxicity. Peptides are natural active ingredients that many functions safe effective. Previous studies shown oysters rich protein antitumor effects. In this study, high-throughput strategy combined MALDI TOF/TOF-MS molecular docking was developed to screen peptides from oyster hydrolysate. Three dominant were predicted similar IL-2 via...
To discern whether tuna oil modulates the expression of brain proteins and gut microbiota structure during aging induced by d-galactose, we generated an mouse model with d-galactose treatment, mice showed memory deterioration symptoms according to physiological biochemical indices. Treatment different doses alleviated symptoms; high dose a better effect. Subsequently, proteomic analysis differentially expressed were involved in damaged synaptic system repairment signal transduction...
