The clinicopathologic findings of reversible ampulla-like ventriculogram the left ventricle were studied in 8 elderly women and one middle-aged man. Their coronary arteriograms normal, even 7 patients who had ST elevation on electrocardiogram. Coronary spasm was positive only 2 received provocation tests. Biopsy specimens revealed focal myocyte injury. Normal during presence pathologic myocardial lesions not consistent with a concept stunned myocardium. suggested that disseminated damage occurred.

We propose a new method for producing unfolded papercraft patterns of rounded toy animal figures from triangulated meshes by means strip-based approximation. Although in principle model can be simply retaining as much possible its connectivity while checking intersecting triangles the plane, creating pattern with tens thousands is unrealistic. Our approach to approximate mesh set continuous triangle strips no internal vertices. Initially, we subdivide our into parts corresponding features...

The present study attempted to reconstruct 3D brain shape of Neanderthals and early Homo sapiens based on computational neuroanatomy. We found that had relatively larger cerebellar hemispheres but a smaller occipital region in the cerebrum than long before time disappeared. Further, using behavioural structural imaging data living humans, abilities such as cognitive flexibility, attention, language processing, episodic working memory capacity were positively correlated with size-adjusted...

Background: Global longitudinal strain (GLS) measured by two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging (2D-STI) has been shown to be useful for assessing subtle change in left ventricular function severe aortic stenosis (AS) patients with preserved ejection fraction (LVEF). However, there is little information about the relation between progression of AS and changes GLS. The aim this study was evaluate severity valve GLS 2D-STI normal LVEF. Methods: We studied 113 (age, 73.3 ± 8.8 years; male,...

We precisely prepared thermo-responsive fine core–shell particles consisting of submicron sized silica as cores and high-density polymer brushes poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPA) shells. The shells were grown by atom transfer radical polymerisation from the initiator that was modified on surface cores. These tend to aggregate in water, even at lower temperatures than critical solution temperature linear PNIPA. Nevertheless, along with PNIPA changes particle size are dependent water...

Abstract We present an initial analysis of the X-Ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM) first-light observation supernova remnant (SNR) N 132D in Large Magellanic Cloud. The Resolve microcalorimeter has obtained first high-resolution spectrum 1.6–10 keV band, which contains K-shell emission lines Si, S, Ar, Ca, Fe. find that Si S are relatively narrow, with a broadening represented by Gaussian-like velocity dispersion $\sigma _v \sim 450$ km s$^{-1}$. However, Fe He$\alpha$...

The Soft X-ray Imager (SXI) is the charge-coupled device (CCD) camera for soft imaging telescope Xtend installed on Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM), which was adopted as a recovery mission Hitomi satellite successfully launched 2023 September 7 (JST). In order to maximize science output of XRISM, we set requirements find that CCD employed in Hitomi/SXI or similar, i.e., $2 \times 2$ array back-illuminated CCDs with $200~\mu$m-thick depletion layer, would be practically best among...

Three-dimensional metamorphosis (or morphing) establishes a smooth transition from source object to target object. The primary issue in 3D is establish surface correspondence between the and objects, by which each point on of maps Having established this correspondence, we can generate interpolating corresponding points positions. We handle geometric two objects represented as triangular meshes. To improve quality morphing meshes, particularly consider following issues: 1) arbitrary meshes;...

Abstract We propose a novel method for smoothing partition of unity (PU) implicit surfaces consisting sets non‐conforming linear functions with spherical supports. derive new discrete differential operators and Laplacian using covering PU as grid‐like data structure. These are applied to the surfaces. First, is performed vector field defined by gradient surface, which then updated reflect field. This process achieves noise robust surface reconstruction from scattered points.
