Recent RNA-seq technology revealed thousands of splicing events that are under rapid evolution in primates, whereas the reliability these events, as well their combination on isoform level, have not been adequately addressed due to its limited sequencing length. Here, we performed comparative transcriptome analyses human and rhesus macaque cerebellum using single molecule long-read (Iso-seq) matched RNA-seq. Besides 359 million reads, 4,165,527 Iso-seq reads were generated with a mean length...

Abstract The isolated type of orofacial cleft, termed non-syndromic cleft lip with or without palate (NSCL/P), is the second most common birth defect in China, Asians having highest incidence world. NSCL/P involves multiple genes and complex interactions between genetic environmental factors, imposing difficulty for assessment unborn fetus carrying NSCL/P-susceptible variants. Although genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have uncovered dozens single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) loci...

With genome sequence and composition highly analogous to human, rhesus macaque represents a unique reference for evolutionary studies of human biology. Here, we developed comprehensive genomic framework macaque, the RhesusBase2, interrogation genes associated regulations. A total 1,667 next-generation sequencing (NGS) data sets were processed, integrated, evaluated, generating 51.2 million new functional annotation records. extensive NGS annotations, RhesusBase2 refined fine-scale structures...

The dynamic activity of transposable elements (TEs) contributes to the vast diversity genome size and architecture among plants. Here, we examined genomic distribution transposition long terminal repeat retrotransposons (LTR-RTs) in Arabidopsis thaliana (Ath) three its relatives, lyrata (Aly), Eutrema salsugineum (Esa), Schrenkiella parvula (Spa), Brassicaceae. Our analyses revealed distinct evolutionary dynamics Gypsyretrotransposons, which reflects different patterns changes four species...

Although the rhesus macaque is a unique model for translational study of human diseases, currently its use in biomedical research still infant stage due to error-prone gene structures and limited annotations. Here, we present RhesusBase monkey community (http://www.rhesusbase.org). We performed strand-specific RNA-Seq studies 10 tissues generated 1.2 billion 90-bp paired-end reads, covering >97.4% putative exon transcripts annotated by Ensembl. found that at least 28.7% were previously...

Abstract Sensory nerves play a crucial role in maintaining bone homeostasis by releasing Semaphorin 3A (Sema3A). However, the specific mechanism of Sema3A regulation marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs) during remodelling remains unclear. The tibial denervation model was used and denervated tibia exhibited significantly lower mass as compared to sham operated bones. In vitro, BMMSCs cocultured with dorsal root ganglion (DRGs) or stimulated could promote osteogenic differentiation through...

Abstract Background Late diagnosis of a salivary fistula increases the risk wound infection and scarring. The purpose present study was to identify quantitative predictor postoperative for cases treated with surgery. Methods Demographic, intraoperative parameters 57 that received surgery benign parotid tumours were recorded from June 2017 2018, which 18 developed fistulas. These data analysed using univariate binary logistic regression analyses as well receiver operating curve analysis....

The current density of intense pulsed ion beam can be adjusted by modulating the magnetic field a magnetically insulated diode, and this makes distribution vital to performance diode. In work, diode was measured probe composed one pair perpendicular induction coils. As revealed measurement, minimum intensity is reached near outer cathode, while value increases monotonically with approach inner cathode. nonuniform emission anode discussed account for distribution. It also demonstrated that...
