Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is now one of the leading causes blindness in elderly population. The antioxidative effects curcumin on aging retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells are still unclear. We conducted an vitro study to investigate RPE cells. A pulsed H2O2 exposure model was adopted. Aging were treated with 20 µM, 40 and 80 µM. Apoptosis analyzed by flow cytometry. intracellular reactive oxygen species concentration detected using a specific probe apoptosis-associated...

Citrus reticulata "Chachi" (CRC) leaves contain abundant flavonoids, indicating that they possess good nutritional/pharmacological research and development potential. This study aims to explore chemical antioxidant quality markers based on the spectrum-effect relationship control strategy of CRC leaves. The ultrahigh performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) system was used establish chromatographic fingerprints Simultaneously, were evaluated by using similarity analysis (SA), hierarchical...

Background . Citri Sarcodactylis Fructus (CSF) is widely used as folk medicine in traditional Chinese (TCM). The dried and steam‐processed CSF (SCSF) has been employed for harmonizing the stomach over thousands of years under guidelines TCM theory. However, little known about differences chemical compositions between SCSF. Moreover, gastroprotective effects SCSF on ethanol‐induced gastric mucosal injuries rats have yet to be investigated. Consequently, present study aimed investigate SCSF,...

The paclitaxel-loaded and folic acid-modified poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) nano-micelles(PTX@FA-PLGA-NMs) were prepared by the emulsion solvent evaporation method, parameters of nano-micelles optimized with particle size PDI as evaluation indexes. morphology was observed transmission electron microscopy(TEM), stability, drug loading encapsulation efficiency systematically investigated. In vitro experiments performed to study cytotoxic effects nano-micelles, apoptosis, cellular uptake. Under...

With the approach of untargeted metabolomics and correlation analysis, this study aimed to explore mechanism Aurantii Fructus from Lingnan region in alleviating dryness by analyzing different effects raw Fructus(RAF) processed Fructus(PAF) on fecal endogenous metabolism normal rats. Eighteen Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were randomly divided into a control group(C), an RAF group(10 g·kg~(-1)), PAF g·kg~(-1)). After seven days administration, dryness-related indexes compared, including water...
