Hemodynamically significant left ventricular outflow tract obstruction is a rare complication of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). This study presents an unusual case patient who, after successful TAVI, developed and experienced progressive worsening severe uneventful TAVI that was effectively relieved using mavacamten.
The optimal functional evaluation of coronary artery stenosis in patients with severe aortic (AS) has not been established. objective the study was to evaluate instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR) and fractional flow reserve (FFR) without AS.
Background: The timing of surgery in asymptomatic severe mitral regurgitation (MR) remains controversial. This study sought to compare long-term outcomes early with a conventional treatment strategy patients MR. Methods: From 1996 2016, total 1,063 consecutive (673 men, age; 51±14 years) degenerative MR and preserved left ventricular function were enrolled, followed prospectively for median 12 years (interquartile range: 8 17 years). Early was performed on 545 patients, while the chosen 518....
Noninvasive cardiac radioablation is reported to be effective and safe for the treatment of ventricular tachycardia (VT).This study aimed analyze acute long-term effects VT radioablation.Patients with intractable or premature contraction (PVC)-induced cardiomyopathy were included in this treated using a single-fraction 25-Gy dose radioablation. To quantitatively response after treatment, continuous electrocardiography monitoring was performed from 24 hours before 48 irradiation at 1-month...
Background: Transthoracic contrast echocardiography using hand-agitated saline and provocative maneuver (cTTE) has been considered a gold standard of diagnosis patent foramen ovale (PFO), transesophageal (TEE) is generally recommended for selected patients who are going to undergo percutaneous closure PFO. Recent studies have highlighted the clinical significance prognostic implication various anatomical features PFO adjacent atrial septum, risk stratification concept ‘a high-risk (HRPFO)’...
