Abstract Hydrogen‐bonding catalysts have been found to catalyze one‐pot three‐component reactions of pyruvate, anilines and aldehydes afford versatile 3‐amino‐1,5‐dihydro‐2 H ‐pyrrol‐2‐ones in high yields.
