New variants of SARS-CoV-2 Alpha (B.1.1.7); Beta (B.1.351) Gamma (P.1) and Delta (B.1.617.2) quickly spread in the UK, South Africa, Brazil India, respectively. To address whether mutations RBD spike protein could affect virus infectivity, peptides containing amino acids have been constructed interacted with human ACE2 by computational methods. Our results suggest that K417, E484, L452, T478 N501 are expressively increasing affinity this angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), consequently,...

Owing to fast SARS-CoV-2 mutations, biosensors employing antibodies as biorecognition elements have presented problems with sensitivity and accuracy. To face these challenges, can be replaced the human angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE-2), where it has been shown that affinity between ACE-2 receptor binding domain (RBD) increases emergence of new variants. Abstract Viral membrane fusion is an orchestrated process triggered by membrane-anchored viral glycoproteins. The S2 subunit of the spike glycoprotein from severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) coronavirus (CoV) contains internal domains called peptides (FP) that play essential roles in virus entry. Although has been broadly studied, there are still major gaps molecular details lipid rearrangements bilayer during peptide-membrane interactions. Here we employed differential scanning...

Ethanol production from sugarcane bagasse requires a pretreatment step to disrupt the cellulose-hemicellulose-lignin complex and increase biomass digestibility, thus allowing obtaining of high yields fermentable sugars for subsequent fermentation. Hydrothermal lime pretreatments have emerged as effective methods in preparing lignocellulosic bioconversion. These are advantageous because they can be performed under mild temperature pressure conditions, resulting less sugar degradation compared...
