Background and Objective: Despite striking advances in multimodality management, gastric cancer (GC) remains the third cause of mortality globally identifying novel diagnostic prognostic biomarkers is urgently demanded. The study aimed to identify potential key genes associated with pathogenesis prognosis GC. Methods: Differentially expressed between GC normal tissue samples were screened by an integrated analysis multiple gene expression profile datasets. Key related identified employing...

The prognostic value of extravascular lung water indices (EVLWI) has been widely investigated, which is determined by ultrasound B-lines. However, the clinical B-lines for determining prognosis/intensive care unit (ICU) outcomes in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) rarely reported. Twenty-one ARDS admitted to ICU Fu Xing Hospital underwent both ultrasonography and pulse index continuous cardiac output (PiCCO) monitoring on first, second, third days after diagnosis....

Background and Objective: Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for 80-85% of all patients with 5-year relative overall survival (OS) rate is less than 20%, so that identifying novel diagnostic prognostic biomarkers urgently demanded. The present study attempted to identify potential key genes associated the pathogenesis prognosis NSCLC. Methods: Four GEO datasets (GSE18842, GSE19804, GSE43458, GSE62113) were obtained from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. differentially...

Abstract Prostaglandin E receptor 3 (PTGER3) is involved in a variety of biological processes the human body and closely associated with development progression cancer types. However, role PTGER3 triple‐negative breast (TNBC) remains unclear. In present study, low expression was found to be poor prognosis TNBC patients. plays crucial regulating cell invasion, migration, proliferation. Upregulation weakens epithelial–mesenchymal phenotype promotes ferroptosis both vitro vivo by repressing...

Catalase (CAT) is an important antioxidant enzyme that breaks down H2O2 into water and oxygen. Inhibitor-modulating CAT activity in cancer cells emerging as a potential anticancer strategy. However, the discovery of inhibitors towards heme active center located at bottom long narrow channel has made little progress. Therefore, targeting new binding site great importance for development efficient inhibitors. Here, first NADPH-binding inhibitor CAT, BT-Br, was designed synthesized...

The feasibility of improving the extraction rate common bean antioxidants by ultrasonic treatment was investigated. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and spectrum Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FT-IR) analysis revealed that substantially altered cellular structure seed, resulting in increased surface area, eroded cell walls, greater exposure cellulose hemicellulose. highest antioxidant activity obtained at optimal conditions (68 min, 55% acetone, 36:1 liquid to solid ratio,...

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is a progressive interstitial pneumonia characterised by fibroblast accumulation, collagen deposition and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodelling. It was reported that Akt1 mediated idiopathic progression through regulating the apoptosis of alveolar macrophage, while its effect on macrophage-produced cytokines remains largely unknown. In present study, we first examined phosphorylation in lung sections from patients immunohistochemistry before applying...

Background Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the most common chronic respiratory in world, especially China. Few studies have explored trend of COPD China and its provinces. This study aimed to demonstrate predict DALY provinces based on global burden (GBD) data. Methods The data disability-adjusted life year (DALY) were collected from GBD 2017, 2019, National Bureau Statistics age-standardized rate (ASR) was used evaluate by gender, age, risk factors In addition, considering...

The lamellar body (LB), a concentric structure loaded with surfactant proteins and phospholipids, is an organelle specific to type 2 alveolar epithelial cells (AT2).However, the origin of LBs has not been fully elucidated. We have previously reported that autophagy regulates Weibel-Palade bodies (WPBs) formation, here we demonstrated involved in LB maturation, another lysosomerelated organelle. We found during development, were transformed from autophagic vacuoles containing cytoplasmic...

Downregulation of fructose-1,6-bisphosphatse-1 (FBP1) was observed in several cancers but its role the lung cancer still remains unknown. We examined tissues from 140 patients with nonsmall cell and found that relative gene expression FBP1 significantly lower as compared to incisal marginal normal tissues. The higher level RNA have longer disease free survival overall groups. There a negative correlation recurrence cancer.
