Proton resonant states in $^{23}\mathrm{Al}$ have been investigated for the first time by elastic and inelastic scattering of $^{22}\mathrm{Mg}$$+p$ with a $^{22}\mathrm{Mg}$ beam at 4.38 MeV/nucleon bombarding thick (CH${}_{2}$)${}_{n}$ target. The low-energy was separated CNS radioactive ion separator (CRIB). energy spectra recoiled protons were measured average angles...

A 4.0 MeV/nucleon $^{21}\mathrm{Na}$ beam was separated Center for Nuclear Study (CNS) radioactive ion separator (CRIB) and then used to bombard a thick (CH${}_{2}$)${}_{n}$ target. energy spectra recoiled protons were measured at angles ${\ensuremath{\theta}}_{\mathrm{c}.\mathrm{m}.}\ensuremath{\approx}172{}^{\ensuremath{\circ}},146{}^{\ensuremath{\circ}}$,...
Proton resonances in 22Mg have been investigated by the resonant elastic scattering of 21 Na + p . The 21Na beam with a mean energy 4.00 MeV/nucleon was separated CNS radioactive-ion-beam separator (CRIB) and bombarded thick ( CH2 n target. spectra recoiled protons were measured at angles θc.m. ≈ 172° , 146° respectively. Several excited states observed before confirmed including two (at 6.616, 6.796 MeV) TRIUMF. A new state 7.06 MeV has observed, another one 7.28 is tentatively identified...
The ${}^{20}\mathrm{Ne}(p,t){}^{18}\mathrm{Ne}$ reaction has been studied in order to investigate the properties of ${}^{18}\mathrm{Ne}$ excited states. A missing ${3}^{+}$ state ${}^{18}\mathrm{Ne},$ which could have a great influence on ${}^{17}\mathrm{F}(p,\ensuremath{\gamma}){}^{18}\mathrm{Ne}$ rate, was searched for, but existence this not clearly verified. spins and parities 5.11- 5.15-MeV states were assigned tentatively by angular distribution measurements, as ${2}^{+}$...
A double-scattering Compton camera that can effectively obtain three-dimensional emission images in high-energy gamma-ray applications such as nuclear decommissioning and particle therapy monitoring has been developed. The utilizes two position-sensitive detectors scatter to determine the trajectory of a scattered gamma-ray, scintillation detector absorber measure remaining energy double-scattered gamma-ray. benefit using is accurate determination after scattering at first detector, which...
Summary 1 To investigate anti‐inflammatory activity of organic germanium, we measured the effect germanium‐concentrated yeast on arachidonic acid release, prostaglandin E 2 (PGE ) production, histamine and intracellular H O or hydroperoxide generation in RBL 2H3 cells, carrageenan‐induced paw oedema rats. Germanium‐concentrated dose‐dependently inhibited oedema, suggesting that has acute inflammation. 3 significantly melittin‐induced release PGE production cells. 4 did not affect...
Abstract The Rare Isotope Science Project (RISP) is currently constructing equipment and facilities for the Accelerator complex ON-line experiments (RAON). first experiment being conducted involves acceleration of a proton to 70MeV using cyclotron, which then delivered SiC target generate radioactive isotope beam in ISOL system. However, before conducting this experiment, preliminary was performed confirm exact location shape prevent loss beam. pre-experiment involved configuring faraday...
We observed four rotational bands in 168 Lu using the 159 Tb( 13 C,4nγ) reaction at 58.5 MeV and 62 populated high spin states up to 27 \(\hbar\). On basis of X–γ gating procedure excitation function measurements done beam energies 50, 55, 58.5, 60, 64 MeV, we could identify γ-ray transitions belonging Lu. The configurations two strongly (bands A B) were based on our previous study examined by additivity relation for alignments. newly found C D) also assigned relation. These identified...
Sphingomyelinase (SMase) catalyzes ceramide production from sphingomyelin. Ceramides are critical in cellular responses such as apoptosis. They enhance mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization (MOMP) through self-assembly the to form channels that release cytochrome c intermembrane space (IMS) into cytosol, triggering caspase-9 activation. However, SMase involved MOMP is yet be identified. Here, we identified a Mg
We performed pulse shape analysis to extract depth information for an interaction point of γ rays in a 25-fold segmented germanium detector. With 90° Compton spectrometer with collimators on both incidence and exit sides, we measured shapes the two points, ( x , y z ) = (2.5 cm, 2.5 0.5 cm) 1.0 cm). Experimental were compared calculated ones by three-dimensional Green's function method. Analytical solutions induced charges each cathode anode obtained hole electron as time. It is suggested...
A measurement of resonant elastic scattering 26Si+p was performed with a thick target using 26Si radioactive ion beam at the CRIB (CNS Radioactive Ion Beam separator) Center for Nuclear Study (CNS), University Tokyo. The excitation function 27P measured successfully inverse kinematics method through covered range energies from Ex ∼ 2.3 to 3.8 MeV, providing information about resonance structure this nucleus. properties these resonances are important better determine production rates...

A low‐energy radioactive‐ion beam separator based on an in‐flight technique was developed at CNS, University of Tokyo and installed RIKEN.
