We have isolated a cDNA clone for one of the HLA-B locus alloantigens by hybridization with 30-nucleotide-long DNA probe. The probe was from reverse transcriptase (RNA-dependent nucleotidyltransferase)-catalyzed synthesis reaction on poly(A)-mRNA in which an oligonucleotide (5'-32P)dC-T-T-C-T-C-C-A-C-A-TOH served as primer and dideoxynucleoside triphosphates were used to reduce size heterogeneity products. desired library recombinant clones plasmid pBR322. partial nucleotide sequence...

Purpose Accurate preoperative localization of parathyroid lesion(s) is crucial for successful surgical management primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT). This study was conducted to compare the effectiveness ultrasonography (USG) neck, 99m Tc-sestamibi (MIBI) imaging with or without SPECT/CT, and 18 F-fluorocholine (FCH) PET/CT in lesions patients PHPT. Methods Fifty-four consecutive PHPT were included this prospective who underwent using 3 diagnostic modalities followed by surgery. The...

Background Tumor-induced osteomalacia (TIO) is a rare paraneoplastic syndrome, usually caused by small benign mesenchymal tumors. The localization of these tumors challenging, however, essential for the management. We compared utility 18F-FDG PET/CT and 68Ga DOTATATE to detect site primary tumor in patients with suspicion TIO. Patients Methods Retrospective analysis 6 hypophosphatemic TIO was performed. study performed all localize tumor. 4 patients. studies were within 1 week each other....

Cysticercosis is a common tropical disease. One of the uncommon manifestations cysticercosis its disseminated form. We report an immunocompetent patient with cysticercosis, who had involvement brain, subcutaneous tissues, skeletal muscles, right orbit and thyroid gland. In addition, this developed serum sickness which responded to therapy. Wide spread dissemination rare complication cysticercosis. A planned approach therapy required.

177Lu-DOTATATE has emerged as a viable treatment strategy for advanced well-differentiated grade 1/2 gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs). Few retrospective studies have shown concomitant with radiosensitizing low-dose capecitabine to be effective in NETs. However, this not been validated prospective randomized-controlled trials. <b>Methods:</b> In investigator-initiated, parallel-group, open-label, phase 2 trial, patients GEP-NETs, having progressive...

Introduction: Integrin antagonist complex (IAC), a novel αvβ3 integrin peptidomimetic, has emerged as promising agent for molecular imaging of tumor angiogenesis. This study evaluates the biodistribution and clinical efficacy [68Ga]Ga-DOTAGA-IAC PET/CT in detecting radioiodine-refractory differentiated thyroid carcinoma (RAIR-DTC), comparing its diagnostic performance with [18F]F-FDG PET/CT.

Multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) 1 syndrome may present with either of any or all neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), parathyroid and pituitary adenoma. There is a paucity data on the intronic exonic mutations in MEN1 gene associated syndrome. We an interesting study mother-daughter duo who had similar lesions distribution metastatic NET underwent genetic analysis to reveal rare mutation both first-degree relatives presented without other syndromic manifestation Both patients received peptide...

Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) overexpression on prostate cancer cells finally led to the FDA approval of therapeutic use 177 Lu-PSMA-617 in metastatic castrate-resistant cancer. However, PSMA is also expressed neovasculature other solid tumors, such as lung and renal cancer, making theranostic potential worth exploring this setting. Here a case an 83-year-old man with advanced non–small cell where was explored using dosimetric analysis.

Many benign bone lesions mimic skeletal metastases from thyroid cancer on imaging and even may have high metabolic uptake 18F-FDG PET/CT. It becomes crucial to distinguish these hypermetabolic (benign vs. metastasis), especially in patients with thyroglobulin elevation negative iodine scan. The index case describes a patient having scan aneurysmal cyst mimicking metastasis.

Tumor-induced osteomalacia (TIO) is a rare paraneoplastic syndrome characterized by recalcitrant hypophosphatemia. Reports from the Indian subcontinent are scarce, with most being single center experiences involving few patients. Herein, we conducted retrospective analysis of 30 patients TIO diagnosed at three tertiary care hospitals in India. Patients persistent hypophosphatemia (despite correction hypovitaminosis D), normocalcemia, elevated alkaline phosphatase, low TmP/GFR and or...

Mammalian genes, when inserted into bacterial plasmid or phage DNAs, will not be expressed the corresponding specific proteins in E. coli unless proper initiation signals required for recognition by ribosomes are provided. We have studied these and chemically synthesized two DNA duplexes each containing different signals.
