Abstract Purpose To investigate the effects of ICU quality control indicators on VAP incidence rate and mortality in China throughout 2019. Methods This was a retrospective study. A total 1267 ICUs from 30 provinces mainland were included. Data collected using National Clinical Improvement System that report information. Ten related analyzed, including 5 structural factors (patient-to-bed ratio, physician-to-bed nurse-to-bed patient-to-physician patient-to-nurse ratio), 3 process (unplanned...

The detectability of an alternating current field measurement (ACFM) for non-surface defects is improved by a pulsed (PACFM) technique. In this paper, the optimal time-domain feature PACFM technique defect detection investigated numerical and experimental methods. simulation, model built finite element software COMSOL. mechanism response signal are studied. It indicates that value measured after peak time has better sensitivity to noise ratio than conventional value. Finally, system set up...

Sepsis is a global public health burden. The sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) the most commonly used scoring system for diagnosing sepsis and assessing severity. Due to widespread use of endotracheal intubation sedative medications in sepsis, accuracy Glasgow Coma Score (GCS) lowest SOFA. We designed this multicenter, cross-sectional study investigate predictive efficiency SOFA with or without GCS on ICU mortality patients sepsis.

In this letter, we develop an electromagnetic scattering simulation-based method for designing the indices grinding surfaces roughness measurement. Based on simulation data, index design and optimization do not require a large number of sample blocks imaging experiments. This makes proposed time-saving low-cost compared with original experimental methods. The results simulations are verified through demonstrates that can be used to optimize characteristic visual measurements.

Presently, variations in light source brightness significantly affect visual roughness measurement methods, limiting accuracy. To tackle this, a Full-reference imaging approach (FRI) is introduced to capture comprehensive field information, encompassing incident and surface-reflected light. Utilizing the energy ratio between these fields minimizes interference improves Initially, relationship model, drawing upon Lambert-Beer scattering principles, correlates surface with reflected reference...
