The β decay of 31Ar, produced by fragmentation an 36Ar beam at 880 MeV/nucleon, was investigated. Identified ions 31Ar were stopped in a gaseous time projection chamber with optical readout allowing us to record events emission protons. Abstract The medium energy beam transport of the SPIRAL2 superconducting linac contains a single bunch selection system equipped with 7.5 kW dump. We report on the observation of previously-unknown isotope $^{21}$Al, first unbound aluminum located beyond proton dripline.
