We report on a measurement of the parity-violating asymmetry in scattering longitudinally polarized electrons unpolarized protons at Q2 0.230 (GeV/c)(2) and angle theta (e) = 30 degrees - 40 degrees. Using large acceptance fast PbF2 calorimeter with solid delta omega 0.62 sr, A4 experiment is first parity violation to count individual events. The measured A(phys)=(-5.44+/-0.54(stat)+/-0.26(sys))x10(-6). standard model expectation assuming no strangeness contributions vector form factors A(0)...
We report on a measurement of the parity violating asymmetry in elastic scattering polarized electrons off unpolarized protons with A4 apparatus at MAMI Mainz four momentum transfer value Q(2)=0.108 (GeV/c)(2) and forward electron angle 30 degrees <theta(e)<40 . The measured is A(LR)(e-->p)=[-1.36+/-0.29(stat)+/-0.13(syst)]x10(-6). expectation from standard model assuming no strangeness contribution to vector current A(0)=(-2.06+/-0.14)x10(-6). have improved statistical accuracy by factor 3...
A new measurement of the parity violating asymmetry in elastic electron scattering on hydrogen at backward angles and a four momentum transfer Q;{2} = 0.22 (Ge V / c);{2} is reported here. The measured A_{LR} (-17.23 +/- 0.82_{stat} 0.89_{syst}) x 10;{-6}. standard model prediction assuming no strangeness A_{0} (-15.87 1.22) In combination with previous results from measurements forward angles, it possible to disentangle for first time strange form factors this transfer, G_{E};{s} 0.050...
We report on a measurement of the asymmetry in scattering transversely polarized electrons off unpolarized protons, A( perpendicular), at two Q2 values 0.106 and 0.230 (GeV/c)(2) angle 30 degrees <theta(e)<40 . The measured transverse asymmetries are perpendicular)(Q(2)=0.106 (GeV/c)(2))=(-8.59+/-0.89(stat)+/-0.75(syst))x10(-6) perpendicular)(Q(2)=0.230 (GeV/c)(2))=(-8.52+/-2.31(stat)+/-0.87(syst))x10(-6). first errors denote statistical error second systematic uncertainties. From comparison...
The double π0 photoproduction off the proton has been measured in beam energy range of 0.65–1.5 GeV. total and differential cross sections Σ asymmetry were extracted. section for first time third resonance region nucleon shows a prominent peak. interpretation these results by two independent theoretical models infers mostly selective excitation P11- D13-nucleon resonances.Received 17 January 2003DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.90.222001©2003 American Physical Society
The analysis of the γp→ηπ0p reaction has been performed using data from GRAAL experiment. total and differential cross sections beam asymmetry have obtained threshold up to 1.5 GeV energy. two resonances S11(1535) Δ(1700) are expected be excited in intermediate states this reaction. results used test predictions based on assumption that both dynamically generated meson-baryon interaction provided by chiral Lagrangians. term involving excitation, followed decay into ηΔ(1232), is found...
The differential cross section for the reaction p(γ,ηp) has been measured from threshold to 1100 MeV photon laboratory energy. For first time, region of S11(1535) resonance is fully covered in a photoproduction experiment and will allow precise extraction its parameters at point. These high precision data together with already beam asymmetry provide stringent constraints on new couplings baryon resonances η meson.
The photoproduction of the omega meson has been studied at GRAAL from threshold up to a photon energy 1.5 GeV. differential cross sections and beam asymmetries have measured precisely all angles. total section is also obtained. Systematic enhancements large angles nonzero intermediate provide clear evidence for s- u-channel resonant processes. data are compared results hadron quark models.
New measurements of the beam normal single spin asymmetry in electron elastic and quasielastic scattering on proton deuteron, respectively, at large backward angles ⟨Q^{2}⟩=0.22 (GeV/c)^{2} ⟨Q^{2}⟩=0.35 ( GeV/c)^{2} are reported. The experimentally observed asymmetries compared with theoretical calculation Pasquini Vanderhaeghen [Phys. Rev. C 70, 045206 (2004).PRVCAN0556-281310.1103/PhysRevC.70.045206]. agreement calculations shows a dominance inelastic intermediate excited states nucleon,...
