AIM:To investigate the expression of Toll-like receptor (TLR) 3, TLR4, TLR7 and TLR9 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). METHODS:Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction immunohistochemistry were used to analyze TLR3, mRNA protein samples from 87 cancer patients consisting both tumor normal tissue. RESULTS:A significant increase levels was detected ESCC samples.Tumors exhibited high TLR expression, (70.1%, 72.4%, 66.7% 78.2% for TLR9, respectively, P < 0.05).Nevertheless, a...

Background: Esophageal cancer (EC), particularly esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), is prevalent in Xinjiang, with poor prognosis and notable ethnic differences. Kazakhs are the most affected group. The p53 gene mutation linked to tumor malignancy metastasis EC, though its prognostic role debated. Vasculogenic mimicry (VM), a non-classical angiogenesis model, contributes progression correlates outcomes. This study investigates relationship between VM expression Kazakh ESCC patients...

MLL2 has been identified as one of the most frequently mutated genes in a variety cancers including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). However, its clinical significance and prognostic value ESCC not elucidated. In present study, we aimed to investigate expression role ESCC. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) qRT-PCR were used examine profile MLL2. Kaplan–Meier survival analysis univariate multivariate Cox analyses Kazakh patients. Furthermore, evaluate biological function ESCC, applied...

To investigate the expression of let-7 and its regulation high-mobility group A2 protein (HMGA2), to verify relationship between let-7, HMGA2 process epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), in oesophageal squamous cell carcinomas (OSCC) Kazakh patients.Expression was significantly lower Eca109 cells than normal epithelium (P = 2.4 × 10(-7) ). Increased accumulation after transfection with synthetic inhibited proliferation. Let-7 could repress co-transfection 0.002). Moreover, observed less...

Numerous studies have reported that the role played by miR-26a in cancer is controversial, but whether regulates metadherin (MTDH) expression esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) unclear. We performed this study to investigate clinical relevance of ESCC. was detected using situ hybridization method. To functionally analyze ESCC lines vitro, KYSE-450 and Eca109 cells were employed, whose endogenous artificially down- or up-regulated, respectively, lentiviral-based transfection. There...

Accumulated evidence suggests that miR-106b played a key role in the promotion of metastases cancer; however, little is known about esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). To investigate expression level ESCC tissues, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to detect 35 Kazakh's and paired normal adjacent tissues (NATs). evaluate mediated by proliferation, migration, invasion, MTT, wound healing, transwell assays were employed, respectively. Luciferase reporter...

The objectives of the present study are to explore role pyruvate kinase isoenzyme type M2 (PKM2) in progression Kazakh's esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) Xinjiang, China, and clarify mechanism PKM2 malignant phenotype. expression was examined using immunohistochemistry (IHC) 101 matched pairs ESCC normal adjacent tissues (NATs) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) 35 serum samples 8 healthy subjects. To investigate mechanism, small interfering RNA (siRNA)-PKM2 transfected into...

Esophageal cancer (EC) is the eighth most common worldwide and sixth cause of death. There are two main types EC—squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) adenocarcinoma (EAC). Although some advances in exploration its possible etiological mechanism were made recently including behaviors environmental risk factors as well gene alterations, molecular underlying ESCC carcinogenesis progression remains poorly understood. It has been reported that miR-21 was upregulated malignant cancers, proposed which...
