Mutation with Ser-83-->Leu in gyrA gene was associated the principal mutation for ciprofloxacin resistance clinical isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii. Double mutation, and Ser-80-->Leu parC gene, most frequently detected among ciprofloxacin-resistant isolates. A novel Ser-80-->Trp addition to a high-level resistance. These results suggested that presence an additional contributed higher-level than single (geometric mean MICs ciprofloxacin, 44.1 versus 16 microg/ml, P < 0.05).
