A practical method for the switchable synthesis of sulfoxides and sulfones through visible-light-initiated CF3SO2Na/2-butoxyethyl ether synergistic catalyzed oxygenation sulfides was developed.
An economic and eco-friendly straightforward synthesis of highly diversified N-acylated 2-aminoquinolines is successfully achieved via Brønsted acidic ionic liquid-promoted amidation quinoline N-oxides with nitriles. The advantage this present process highlighted by its easily accessible starting materials, excellent functional group tolerance, 100% atom economy, operational simplicity, clean reaction profile.
We describe here a unique family of pore-forming anion-transporting peptides possessing single-amino-acid-derived peptidic backbone that is the shortest among natural and synthetic peptides. These monopeptides with built-in H-bonding capacity self-assemble into an H-bonded 1D columnar structure, presenting three types exteriorly arranged hydrophobic side chains closely mimic overall topology α-helix. Dynamic interactions these membrane lipids proceed in way likely similar to how α-helix...
A (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)oxyl-mediated difunctionalization of alkenes with
A convenient and efficient indium-catalyzed approach to synthesize alkenyl iodides has been developed through direct iodoalkylation of alkynes with alcohols aqueous HI under mild conditions. This catalytic protocol offers an attractive for the synthesis a diverse range in good excellent yields.
A novel pyromellitic diimide-extended pillar[6]arene was synthesized in two steps with moderate yield for the first time. It showed a symmetrical stretched hexagon structure and could form 1:2 complexes polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons solution. Interestingly, linear supramolecular array between complex 1@G42 pyrene through π···π stacking interactions also observed solid state.
Phenanthrene[2]arene 1 with excellent adsorption capacity for benzene was synthesized in high yield. Activated crystals of have been successfully used to separate PhH from equimolar mixture and Cy the purity can reach 98.4%.
A series of monofunctionalized pillar[n]arenes skeleton macrocycles pillar[m]arene[1]phthalimide and pillar[m]arene[1]naphthalimide (m = 4–6) were synthesized successfully through fragment coupling cyclization in a one-pot reaction. The introduction pyromellitic diimide naphthalene units into the not only disturbs symmetry but also changes their self-assembly behavior solid state. This functionalization approach greatly expands structural diversity pillar[n]arenes.
Host 1 with an electron-deficient nanometer-sized cavity were synthesized in two steps. Moreover, has been successfully used as a gas chromatographic stationary phase to prepare packed column for the separation of PhH/Cy and Tol/MCy.
Triptycene-derived macrotricyclic polyether was proved to be an efficient "molecular glue" for cross-linking the copolymer containing dibenzylammonium salts form supramolecular polymer networks via host–guest complexation, which evidenced by 1H NMR spectroscopy, solution viscometry, and formation of transparent elastic gels. Interestingly, a well-defined porous structure gel could observed at fully cross-linked density, its mechanical properties modulated amount host added system. Moreover,...
Multi-stimuli responsive organogels based on low-molecular-weight gelators (LMWGs) have attracted much attention due to their potential applications. Herein, the synthesis and self-assembly behavior of a novel molecular gelator tetrapeptide–dithienylcyclopentene conjugate is described. This forms stable gels in THF, acetone acetonitrile, which formation anti-parallel β-sheets biomimetic tetrapeptides key driving force. Further studies suggest that organogel multi-responsive various external...
Here, we report the synthesis of adamantane-based macrocycle
Compared to the most active anion-transporting channel that requires a channel:lipid molar ratio of 1:330 (0.3 mol % relative lipid) achieve 50% activity, structurally simple pore-forming tripeptide 6L310 was found exhibit an extraordinarily strong ability self-assemble into stable possibly barrel-shaped exceptionally channels, with record-low EC50 values 4.0, 3.0, 1.6, 2.6, and 2.6 nM (e.g., 0.005–0.013 for Cl–, Br–, I–, NO3–, ClO4–, respectively.
Self-sorting behavior of a four-component host–guest system was found, which could be utilized to construct linear supramolecular alternating copolymer.
A novel stretched hexagon structure naphthalene diimides-extended-pillar[6]arene 1 with a giant cavity size of 18.769 Å in width and 17.109 height is reported. exhibits highly selective binding pagoda[5]arene compared to pillar[5]arene prism[5]arene. Size matching charge transfer interactions play key role the formation ring-in-ring stable complex.
The detection of volatile amines is necessary due to the serious toxicity hazards they pose human skin, respiratory systems, and nervous systems. However, traditional methods require bulky equipment, high costs, complex measurements. Herein, we report a new simple, rapid, convenient, visual method for based on gas–solid reactions tetrachloro-p-benzoquinone (TCBQ) amines. TCBQ with variety showed visually distinct color in time-dependent manner. Moreover, can be easily fabricated into simple...
Tetraphenylethylene[3]arene 1 was synthesized using 1,1′,4,4′-tetramethoxytetraphenylethylene and paraformaldehyde in dichloromethane. Host exhibited strong bright blue fluorescence both the solid state THF–H 2 O mixtures with water f w ≥ 60%.
Formation of a “pseudosuitane”-type complex based on triptycene-derived bis(crown ether) provides new method for the synthesis linear polyrotaxanes.
