To explore the antibiotic body burden of Chinese school children, total urinary concentrations (free and conjugated) 18 representative antibiotics (5 macrolides, 2 β-lactams, 3 tetracyclines, 4 quinolones, sulfonamides) were measured by ultraperformance liquid chromatography coupled to quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry among 1064 students recruited from economically geographically distinct areas in east China 2013. All detected urine samples with detection frequencies ranging 0.4...
Diarrhea is a prevalent disease among calves, which significantly hinders their growth and development, thereby impacting farm productivity revenue. This study aimed to investigate the impact of diarrhea on calf growth. Holstein male calves with similar birth weight (39.5 ± 4.2 kg) were included in this study, key parameters such as fecal score, incidence, performance from weaning measured. Rectal samples both diarrheic (n = 24) healthy aged 1-4 weeks analyzed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing...
Drug-induced liver and kidney damage is an emergent clinical issue that should be addressed. Rosmarinic acid (RA) has obvious anti-inflammatory antioxidant effects, so we evaluated the effects of RA pretreatment on serum tissues cisplatin (CP)-treated mice explored possible mechanisms. The results showed effectively downregulated serum, liver, levels ALT, AST, BUN, CRE inflammatory factors IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, simultaneously enhanced total capacity kidney. significantly reduced MPO, MDA, NO...
X. sorbifolia is valued in food, landscape, and medicine, with its husk containing triterpenoid Triterpenoids known for anti‐Alzheimer's effects. This study, using UHPLC‐HRMS plant metabolomics, compared the chemical profiles of different parts to assess their potential replacing medicinal use. The findings show that only bark wood contain small amounts triterpene Triterpenoids, which cannot substitute husk’s value. These results support quality control clinical application husk.
Sodium‐organic batteries (SOBs) are widely recognized as a rising star in large‐scale energy storage technology because of their abundant resources, high density, and environmental friendliness. However, the poor cyclability rate performance due to solubility conductivity with organic electrode materials limit practical applications. Here, we constructed new crystalline polymer poly(tetraaminobenzoquione) (PTABQ) featuring layered structure conjugated backbone intermolecular hydrogen bonds....
Algae-derived organic nitrogen (AON) is mineralized by microorganisms to bioavailable inorganic form, potentially sustaining the harmful algal blooms (HABs) for extended durations. The modified clay (MC) an effective approach mitigating HABs; however, its effects on AON mineralization and underlying mechanism remain unclear. In this study, of MC a typical HAB species Skeletonema costatum were analyzed using isotope dilution method, preliminarily discussed. results revealed that addition...
The objective of this study was to examine the effects dietary Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) consisting Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bunge (AMT) and Codonopsis pilosula (Franch.) Nannf (CPO) extracts on growth performance, antioxidant capacity, immune status, intestinal health broiler chickens. Two groups were formed, each six replicates 12 one-day-old healthy male 817 white feather broilers. Broilers fed either a basal diet (CON group) or supplemented with 500 mg/kg CHM. trial lasted 50...
Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects zinc glycinate (Gly-Zn) on growth performance, serum biochemical index, intestinal morphology, and hepatic metallothionein (MT) mRNA expression in liver yellow feather broilers. A total 540 18-day-old broilers were randomly divided into three groups: control group (basal diet), ZnSO 4 diet plus 60 mg Zn/kg from ), Gly-Zn glycinate). Each treatment had 6 replicates with 30 birds each replicate. experiment lasted for 42 days (18...
This research investigated effects of dietary phytosterols supplementation on growth performance and cecal gut microflora in yellow-feather broilers. A total 360 broilers (1-day-old) were randomly assigned to 3 treatment groups: control group (basal diet), antibiotic diet supplemented with 200 mg/kg oxytetracycline calcium 250 nosiheptide), groups 25 phytosterols). Each had 6 replicates, there 20 within each replicate. No average daily feed intake, gain, food conversion rate observed. The a...
This study aimed to evaluate the effects of tributyrin on growth performance, biochemical indices and intestinal microbiota yellow-feathered broilers. 360 one-day-old chicks were randomly allocated three treatments with six replicates 20 each, including a normal control group (NC), an antibiotic (PC), (250 mg/kg) (TB) for 63 days. The results showed that compared control, feed conversion ratio (FCR) in TB decreased during d22 d42 (p < 0.05) overall, final weight FCR broilers tended increase...
In the poultry industry worldwide, Clostridium perfringens has been causing major economic loss as it can cause necrotic enteritis (NE). The coccidial infection considered most important predisposing factor of NE caused by C. perfringens. this study, we aimed to advance our knowledge on ileal microbiota yellow feather broilers under and/or Eimeria challenge. Total 80 healthy day old were randomly assigned four groups including: Control, challenge group (C. Per), (Cocc), and plus (Comb). On...
To our knowledge, there are few studies on the correlation between internal structure of fermented products and nutrient delivery from by-products coffee processing in ruminant system. The objective this project was to use advanced mid-infrared vibrational spectroscopic technique (ATR-FT/IR) reveal interactive protein ruminant-relevant energy metabolic profiles affected by added-microorganism fermentation duration. The were using commercial product, called Saus Burger Pakan, consisting...
