In this study, composite membranes based on chitosan (CS), layered double hydroxide (LDH), and diclofenac were prepared via dispersing of LDH (DCF) in the matrix for gradual delivery sodium. The effect using composites was compared to loaded with membrane. added order develop a system long release sodium, which is used inflammatory conditions as an anti-inflammatory drug. characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Scanning Electron Microscope Analysis (SEM), X-ray...

The inherent brittleness of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) prevents its use as a substitute petroleum-based polymers. Low molecular weight plasticizers, such tributyl 2-acetyl citrate (TAC), cannot properly solve this issue. Herein, PHB films were obtained using biosynthesized poly(3-hydroxyoctanoate) (PHO) and commercially available TAC toughening agents. strongly decreased the thermal stability up to 200 °C due loss low boiling point plasticizer, while minor was noticed at temperature for...

The study reports an investigation of the photoproducts obtained by exposure chlorpromazine hydrochloride in ultrapure water (concentration 2 mg/mL) to a 266-nm laser beam fourth harmonic generation from Nd:YAG (6-ns full time width at half maximum, 10-Hz pulse repetition rate). were analyzed steady-state UV-Vis absorption, laser-induced fluorescence, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and liquid chromatography–tandem time-of-flight mass spectroscopy. Two figures showing pathways that...

Abstract SARS-CoV-2 surveillance is crucial to identify variants with altered epidemiological properties. Wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) provides an unbiased and complementary approach sequencing individual cases. Yet, national WBE programs have not been widely implemented data analyses remain challenging. We deep-sequenced 2,093 wastewater samples representing 95 municipal catchments, covering >57% of Austria’s population, from December 2020 September 2021. Our Va riant Qu...

Two biomaterials obtained by hydrodistilation from an indigenous Satureja hortensis plant (SHEO), and the rhizoms of Zingiber officinale (ZOEO), purchased Romanian market, were tested in order to evaluate their effect on monocytic cells line type THP-1. The first biomaterial, has practically no biological whereas other bioproduct, (ZOEO) a better comparison L-NAME etoposide. Due mechanism which implies apoptosis quantities nitric oxide (NO)produced THP-1 are reduced under ZOEO action.

In this work, cellulose nanofibers (CNF) were surface treated by plasma and grafted with poly(ethylene glycol)methyl ether methacrylate (PEGMMA) for increasing mechanical strength hydrophobicity. The characteristics of the sponges studied scanning electron microscopy, micro-computed tomography, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, which demonstrated successful modification. Plasma treatment applied to CNF suspension led advanced defibrillation, resulting (CNFpl) exhibited smaller wall...

Drinking water treatment using activated carbon (AC) decontamination offers effective methods for removing some organic compounds, tastes and odors, but it is not so efficient metals, nitrates, microbial contaminants other inorganic contaminants. In the last years, nanotechnologies introduced several types of nanomaterials organic, biological removal in drinking water, such as: sorption, filtrations catalytic processes. this work, exfoliated graphite nanoplatelets (xGnP) were used as...

Abstract Recycling of electric and electronic equipment is an emerging global issue in order to decrease the high amount waste deposited on landfill or incinerated, thus reducing environmental pollution. Different strategies eliminating this can be applied. In paper, non‐metallic fraction printed circuit boards, due contained glass fiber rigid epoxy matrix, are considered suitable for valorization as reinforcing filler polyvinyl chloride recovered from insulation cables. The composites...

Polymer nanodielectrics characterized by good flexibility, processability, low dielectric loss and high permittivity are materials of interest for wearable electronic devices intelligent textiles, highly in demand robotics. In this study, an easily scalable environmentally friendly method was applied to obtain polysiloxane/nanosilica nanocomposites with a large content nanofiller, up 30% weight. Nanosilica dispersed both as individual particles agglomerates; lower amount filler, the former...
