The spin-splitter effect is theoretically predicted to generate an unconventional spin current with x- and z- polarization via the spin-split band in antiferromagnets. generated torque, namely, effective for manipulation of magnetization adjacent magnetic layer without external field spintronic devices such as MRAM. Here, we study generation torque collinear antiferromagnetic RuO_{2} (100), (101), (001) crystal planes. Next find all x-, y-, z-polarized currents depending on Néel vector...
Among patients with angle-closure glaucoma, it is common to have a short-axial eye, which also makes difficult select an appropriate intraocular lens. Previous studies focused on the ocular biometry of long-axial whereas only few reports eye. This study aimed clarify characteristics eye among elderly Japanese. retrospective cross-sectional included 142 who consulted at our hospital. The axial length (AL), central corneal thickness (CCT), average anterior radius curvature (CR), white-to-white...
Copper-containing large-pore zeolites, such as Cu-mordenite (Cu-MOR) and Cu-omega (Cu-MAZ), oxidize methane to yield a high amount of methanol. Two distinct active centers in MOR zeolite, namely, [Cu2(μ-O)]2+ [Cu3(μ-O)3]2+, have been proposed debated. In particular, the species was experimentally found be formed on two different Al pair sites with reactivities toward methane. However, computational attempts based density functional theory (DFT) not able confirm them. Moreover, full cycle...
Carbon 1s photoelectron spectra of methane are measured over a photon energy range between 480 eV and 1200 eV. Additional components appear the individual symmetric stretching vibrational attributed to excitations asymmetric bending vibrations due recoil high-energy emission. This effect is evidence for violation Franck-Condon principle which states that neither positions nor momenta nuclei change during ionization event.
Several mutations in the surfactant protein C (SP-C) gene (<i>SFTPC</i>) have been reported as causing familial pulmonary fibrosis (FPF). However, genetic background and clinical features of FPF are still not fully understood. We identified one Japanese kindred, which at least six individuals over three generations were diagnosed with fibrosis. examined patients radiologically histopathologically sequenced their <i>SFTPC</i> <i>ABCA3</i> genes. also established a cell line stably expressing...

The core-level photoelectron spectra of N2 molecules are observed at high energy resolution, resolving the 1σg and 1σu components as well vibrational in extended region from threshold up to 1 keV. σg/σu cross section ratios display modulation a function momentum due two-centre interference, analogous classical Young’s double-slit experiment, predicted by Cohen Fano long time ago. Cohen–Fano interference modulations different phases depending on excitations core-ionized state. Extensive ab...
This paper describes the numerical analysis and design for a higher jumping rescue robot using pneumatic cylinder. First, basic equations are derived simulation is performed. Then, relationship between height pressure-receiving area of cylinder considered when volume or stroke kept constant. allows calculation optimal cross sectional area. In addition, also affected by weight ratio rod tube. Based on these results, equipped with appropriate dimensions controlled well-selected valve...
The pulse energies of a free electron laser have accurately been measured in the hard x-ray spectral range. In photon energy regime from 4.4 keV to 16.8 keV, up 100 μJ were obtained at facility SACLA (SPring-8 Ångstrom Compact free-electron LAser). Two independent methods, using cryogenic radiometer and gas monitor detector, applied agreement within 3.3% was achieved. Based on our validated measurement, online detector could be calibrated for all future experiments.
Introduction: Lenvatinib (LEN) is a novel potent multi-tyrosine kinase inhibitor, approved as first-line treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Considering its high objective response rate, LEN therapy could be expected to achieve downstaging of tumors and lead conversion with hepatectomy or ablation. However, the feasibility after in HCC remains largely unknown. Patient concerns: Here, we reported 3 cases HCC: case 1, 69-year-old man diagnosed ruptured HCC; 2,...
This retrospective multicenter study analyzed 244 patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma treated lenvatinib (LEN) and atezolizumab + bevacizumab (Atezo Bev) to examine the characteristics, treatment courses, prognoses. The cases of who could achieve HCC downstaging from Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) stage B or C A zero indicated need for conversion therapy. patients’ prognoses without therapy were compared. Of patients, 12 (4.9%) underwent therapy, six out 131 (4.6%) LEN,...
HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder (HAND) is a complication of chronic inflammation caused by HIV infection that impairs cognitive and motor functions. HAND can occur at any age, regardless the duration infection, even in people living with (PLWH) whose blood viral load controlled antiretroviral therapy. The diagnosis requires battery neuropsychological tests, which time-consuming burdensome, limiting its effectiveness for screening PLWH. Here, we aimed to identify biomarkers...
SoxR containing a [2Fe-2S] cluster required for its transcription activity functions as bacterial stress-response sensor that is activated through oxidation by redox-active compounds (RACs). from Escherichia coli (EcSoxR) nearly all RACs nonspecifically. In contrast, nonenteric SoxRs such Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PaSoxR), and Streptomyces coelicolor (ScSoxR) activate their target genes in response to RAC including endogenously produced metabolites. To investigate the determinants of SoxR's...
Psychological support is necessary for people with hemophilia and HIV (PHH) who suffer from cancers. Most PHH are infected not only but also hepatitis C virus due to non-heat-treated blood coagulation factor products. have a high risk of carcinogenesis, including liver cancer. Furthermore, many present psychological problems, the great stress resulting carcinogenesis which impedes their cancer treatment. This study aimed assess system through nationwide survey healthcare workers caring at...
In view of increasing interest in light-emitting materials, we have investigated the characteristics and occurrence conjugation between arms star-shaped rigid molecules that comprise a 1,3,5-triethynylbenzene core methoxy group-substituted oligo(p-phenylethynylene) arms. Consequently, achieved ultimate goal (Φf ≈ 1.0, log ε > 5) for organic with respect to ability by creating very intense violet-blue (8, Φf = 0.97, 5.11) blue (9, 0.98, 5.29) bright light-emitters. Also, π was found occur 9...
The utilization of low-cost and abundant oxygen (O2) as an oxidant in the activation copper-exchanged zeolites is highly important for direct, selective oxidation methane to methanol at low temperatures. While two motifs active sites, i.e., [Cu2(μ-O)]2+ [Cu3(μ-O)3]2+, have been experimentally observed mordenite (MOR) zeolite, mechanisms their formation from reaction Cu-MOR with O2 are still unclear. In this study, we performed density functional theory (DFT) calculations over 2[Cu2]2+-MOR...
