A wheat cultivar “Chinese Spring” chromosome substitution line CS-1Sl(1B), in which the 1B was substituted by 1Sl from Aegilops longissima, developed and found to possess superior dough breadmaking quality. The molecular mechanism of its super quality conformation is studied aspects high glutenin genes, protein accumulation patterns, polymeric proteins, bodies, starch granules, disulfide isomerase (PDI) PDI-like expressions. Results showed that introduced HMW-GS 1Sl×2.3* 1Sly16* possesses...

It has been demonstrated that PPARG may interact with the PTEN-PI3K/AKT pathway, contributing to its involvement in chemotherapy treatment of hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (HSCC). However, underlying mechanism remains largely unknown. In this study, gene expression profiles 17 HSCC patients, comprising 8 chemotherapy-sensitive patients (CSP) and 9 chemotherapy-nonsensitive (CNSP), were collected analyzed investigate patterns, correlations, influencing factors PPARG-PTEN-PI3K/AKT...

Low-molecular-weight glutenin subunits (LMW-GS), encoded by Glu-3 complex loci in hexaploid wheat, play important roles the processing quality of wheat flour. To date, molecular characteristics and effects on dough individual alleles their encoding proteins have been poorly studied. We used a Glu-A3 deletion line Chinese Spring (CS-n) variety to conduct first comprehensive study functional properties LMW-GS allele Glu-A3a.The Glu-A3a at locus CS its CS-n were identified characterized...

Exosomes are small vesicles with a diameter of 30~150 nm secreted by cells, which rich in mRNA, microRNA, and long noncoding RNA (lncRNA). The biological functions most exosomal lncRNAs not well understood. Studies have shown that tumor exosome FGD5-AS1 plays an important role the proliferation, migration, invasion cells. In this study, SW1736 KAT18 TC cells high expression were screened. collected. collected exosomes then added to HUVEC After incubation for 24 h, effects on proliferation...

SUMMARY The characteristics of 359 group A streptococcal (GAS) isolates collected from Chinese paediatric patients in two periods (1993–1994, 2005–2006) were studied. Isolates assigned to emm types and assayed for eight superantigen (SAg) genes ( speA , speC speH speI speG speJ ssa SMEZ ). Types 1 12 consistently the most prevalent during periods, while others varied frequency. GAS carrying six or more SAg increased 46·53% (1993–1994) 78·39% (2005–2006); P <0·05) but declined <0·05)....

Colorectal carcinoma is currently the third most frequent cancer worldwide. Conventional open surgery was replaced by laparoscopic anterior resection with total mesorectal excision for treatment of sigmoid and rectal carcinomas; however, it needed an incision to harvest specimen, which contributed complications. In 2013, trans-anal natural orifice specimen extraction (Ta-NOSE-LAR) treat performed in our hospital first time. The aim this study investigate outcomes Ta-NOSE-LAR carcinoma....

This prospective, multicentre, nasal carriage study in Chinese children with upper respiratory infection was carried out over the period from 2000 to 2002. Overall, prevalence of pneumococcal 24.9%. Antimicrobial susceptibility tests were performed for 887 isolates Streptococcus pneumoniae which 33.5% intermediately susceptible penicillin and 6.4% resistant. Multidrug resistance very common. Pneumococcal strains ( n = 625) serotyped, showing 72.2% covered by 23-valent polysaccharide vaccine...

Abstract Aim: To investigate the characteristic of community‐associated methicillin‐resistant staphylococcus aureus (CA‐MRSA) skin and soft tissue infections (SSTIs) among children in China. Methods: Forty‐seven with CA‐MRSA SSTIs were enrolled this study. Clinical information was collected analysed. The strains from analysed by multilocus sequence typing (MLST), cassette chromosome mec (SCCmec) spa typing. Panton‐Valentine leukocidin (PVL) gene also detected. Results: majority 47 cases...

Abstract Long non‐coding RNA DLX6 antisense 1 (DLX6‐AS1) lists a critical position in thyroid carcinoma (TC) development. However, the overall comprehension about DLX6‐AS1, microRNA (miR)‐193b‐3p and homeobox A1 (HOXA1) TC is not thoroughly enough. Concerning to this, this work pivoted on DLX6‐AS1/miR‐193b‐3p/HOXA1 axis cell growth autophagy. tissues adjacent normal were collected, which expression of miR‐193b‐3p HOXA1 was tested, together with their interactions. cells transfected...
