The microbial community of the human gut has a crucial role in sustaining host homeostasis. High-throughput DNA sequencing delineated structural and functional configurations metagenomes world populations. microbiota Russian population is particular interest to researchers, because Russia encompasses uniquely wide range environmental conditions ethnogeographical cohorts. Here we conduct shotgun metagenomic analysis samples from 96 healthy adult subjects, which reveals novel structures....

Cultivated flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) is widely used for production of textile, food, chemical and pharmaceutical products. However, various stresses decrease production. Search genes, which are involved in stress response, necessary breeding adaptive cultivars. Imbalanced concentration nutrient elements soil yields also results heritable changes some lines. The appearance Linum Insertion Sequence 1 (LIS-1) the most studied modification. LIS-1 function still unclear. High-throughput...

Cultivated flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) is an important plant valuable for industry. Some lines can undergo heritable phenotypic and genotypic changes (LIS-1 insertion being the most common) in response to nutrient stress are called plastic lines. Offspring of lines, which stably inherit changes, genotrophs. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) involved a crucial regulatory mechanism gene expression. They have previously been assumed take part can, therefore, participate genotroph formation. In present...

Amaryllidaceae is a large family with more than 1,600 species, belonging to 75 genera. The largest genus— Allium —is vast, comprising about thousand species. species (as well as other members of the ) are widespread and diversified, they adapted wide range habitats from shady forests open like meadows, steppes, deserts. genes present in chloroplast genomes (plastomes) play fundamental roles for photosynthetic plants. Plastome traits could thus be associated geophysical abiotic...

Acid soils limit agricultural production worldwide. Major reason of crop losses in acid is the toxicity aluminum (Al). In present work, we investigated expression alterations microRNAs flax ( Linum usitatissimum L.) plants under Al stress. Flax seedlings resistant (TMP1919 and G1071/4_k) sensitive (Lira G1071/4_o) to cultivars lines were exposed AlCl 3 solution for 4 24 hours. Twelve small RNA libraries constructed sequenced using Illumina platform. total, 97 from 18 conserved families...

SSAP method was used to study the genetic diversity of 22 Linum species from sections Linum, Adenolinum, Dasylinum, Stellerolinum, and 46 flax cultivars. All studied varieties were distinguished using for retrotransposons FL9 FL11. Thus, validity demonstrated marking, identification accessions in genebank collections, control during propagation varieties. Polymorphism Fl1a, Fl1b, Cassandra insertions very low varieties, but these successfully investigation species. Species clusterization...

Genetic data plays an increasingly important role in modern medicine. Decrease the cost of sequencing with subsequent increase imputation accuracy, and accumulation large amounts high-quality genetic enable creation polygenic risk scores (PRSs) to perform genotype-phenotype associations. The accuracy phenotype prediction primarily depends on overall trait heritability, Genome-wide association studies cohort size, similarity background between base target cohort. Here we utilized 8,664 high...

The species relationships within the genus Linum have already been studied several times by means of different molecular and phylogenetic approaches. Nevertheless, a number ambiguities in phylogeny still remain unresolved. In particular, sections Stellerolinum Dasylinum need further clarification. Also, question independence section Adenolinum remains unanswered. Moreover, L. narbonense other require Additionally, origin tetraploid (2n = 30) including cultivated usitatissimum has not...

The genetic diversity of strawberry F. x ananassa varieties with respect to FaRE1 LTR retrotransposon integration sites was studied for the first time. SSAP method a single combination primers revealed 35 polymorphic in genome. Most (36 out 46) had unique combinations insertions but 5 pairs did not differ their markers. Assessment similarity using markers reveal distinct clusters, which may be explained by relatively short history selection this cultivar and crossing within same pool.
