In the clinic selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), like Fluoxetine, remain primary treatment for major depression. It has been suggested that miR-16 regulates transporters (SERT) via raphe nuclei and hippocampal responses to antidepressants. However, underlying mechanism regulatory pathways are still obtuse. Here, a chronic unpredicted mild stress (CUMS) depression model in rats was established, then intragastric Fluoxetine injections were administered duration of three weeks. An...

It has previously been demonstrated that ischemic stroke activates autophagy pathways; however, the mechanism remains unclear. The aim of this study is to further investigate role plays in cerebral ischemia. 2, 4‐diamino‐6‐hydroxy‐pyrimidine (DAHP), for its nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibiting neuroprotective effect, and triptolide (TP), anti‐inflammatory property, were selected administer pre middle artery occlusion (MCAO). drugs administered 12 hours prior MCAO. Both magnetic resonance...

Abstract Rationale: Primary cardiac angiosarcoma is a rare malignant neoplasm with early metastasis and poor prognosis. As there are currently no guidelines or effective therapeutic strategies, management of this condition depends on previous experiences the clinician treating consideration reported cases. Patient concerns: A 65-year-old male presented to our department 4-day history chest tightness, dyspnea, lower extremity weakness occasional dizziness, transthoracic echo (TTE) revealed...

Every year, around the world, between 250000 and 500000 people suffer from spinal cord injury (SCI). This study investigated potential for poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) complex inoculated with olfactory ensheathing cells (OECs) to treat in a rat model.OECs were identified by immunofluorescence based on nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR) p75. The Basso, Beattie, Bresnahan (BBB) score, together an inclined plane (IP) test used detect functional recovery. Nissl staining along luxol...

Previous studies have shown that prevention of leukocyte infiltration by targeting integrins involved in transendothelial migration may suppress the clinical and pathological features neuroinflammatory disease. This study was designed to investigate effects C16, an α ν β 3 integrin-binding peptide, acute experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE) rat model. Multiple histological immunohistochemical staining, electron microscopy observation, ELISA assay, Western blot, magnetic resonance...

Adult neurogenesis is considered to contribute a certain degree of plasticity for the brain. However, effects adult-born neurons on brain are still largely unknown. Here, we specifically altered expression miR-30c in subventricular zone (SVZ) and dentate gyrus (DG) by stereotaxic injection with their respective up-and down-regulated lentiviruses. Results showed an increased level enhanced adult prompting cell-cycles stem cells, whereas led opposite results. When these lasted three months,...

The long term results of treatment inhalation foreign bodies in a district children9s hospital and tertiary referral centre were reviewed by clinical assessment, chest radiography, standard four view 81mKr ventilation/99mTc macroaggregated albumin perfusion imaging (V/Q lung scan). overall incidence the population served was roughly one 14,000/year. Of 12 children there, three had abnormal radiographs V/Q scans as result bodies. 21 treated at centre, eight radiographs, 14 scans. Three...

Abstract Rationale: Hemophilia A (HA) is an X-linked recessive disorder caused by clotting factor VIII (FVIII) deficiency. There limited data on the use of replacement therapy in cardiac surgery. Since no international guideline for anticoagulation such patient exists, careful thought should be taken to design individualized strategy. Patient concerns: We report a 54-year-old male with severe HA FVIII activity 0.8% when he was first diagnosed, who underwent successful mitral valve repair and...

Functional tricuspid regurgitation (FTR) is the most common of all dysfunctions. Ring annuloplasty an effective treatment strategy for FTR. Currently, commonly used suture method ring interrupted U-shaped method. However, when annuli are grossly dilated (septal segments > 60 mm), sutures insufficient in avoiding folding over annulus or tearing sutures. Therefore, we recommend a new band technique; namely, three-suture junctional continuous technique.

Abstract Rationale Cardiac angiosarcoma is a rare malignant tumor, for which only surgery has been proven to be effective date. Currently there are no reports as whether postoperative regimen of ifosfamide, epirubicin, and recombinant human endostatin effective. Patient concern The patient presented us with chest pain dyspnea. Diagnosis Enhanced computerized tomography (CT) positron emission tomography–computerized (PET-CT) suggested pericarditis an atrial perforation, but malignancy was...
