Abstract Background Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) represents a form of cerebrovascular event characterized by notable mortality and morbidity rate. Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21), versatile hormone predominantly synthesized the hepatic tissue, has emerged as promising neuroprotective agent. Nevertheless, precise impacts underlying mechanisms FGF21 in context SAH remain enigmatic. Methods To elucidate role inhibiting microglial cGAS-STING pathway providing protection against SAH-induced...

Effects of tea polyphenols (TP) on the structural and physicochemical properties rice starch were evaluated under a 30 min high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) treatment (200–600 MPa). The results differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) indicated reduction in gelatinization temperatures enthalpy starch/tea (RS/TP) mixtures with increasing levels. At 400 MPa, RS/TP (30% TP addition, basis) entirely gelatinized min, was enhanced concentration. X-ray diffraction (XRD) NMR (solid-state 13C CP/MAS...

The WUSCHEL-related homeobox (WOX) is a family of plant-specific transcription factors, with important functions, such as regulating the dynamic balance division and differentiation plant stem cells organ development. We identified 14 distinct TaWOX genes in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) genome, based on genome-wide scan approach. All under evaluation had positional homoeologs subgenomes A, B D except TaWUS TaWOX14. Both TaWOX14a TaWOX14d paralogous copy same genome due to tandem duplication...

Abstract Understanding the driving factors of soil multifunctionality is great significance for protection and restoration degraded terrestrial ecosystems. However, effects above‐ belowground are rarely evaluated simultaneously, mode both on not clear. Here, we mobile dunes threatened by desertification through aerial seeding, that is, sowing seeds devices, from 1983 to 2015 in Mu Us Desert, China, using plant data. The effect seeding multifunctionality, diversity, microbial diversity was...

The occurrence of 187 pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) was investigated in bottled water samples (35 33 from Chinese foreign brands, respectively). Forty-four compounds belonging to 14 PPCP categories were detected 56 the 68 samples. Further, more than 35% contained at least three PPCPs, one particular sample, 11 different PPCPs detected. Macrolides constituted most prevalent category, salbutamol, erythromycin, azithromycin showed highest detection frequency (17.6%)....

In planta, a vital regulatory complex, MYB-basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH)-WD40 (MBW), is involved in trichome development and synthesis of anthocyanin proanthocyanin Arabidopsis. Usually, WD40 proteins provide scaffold for protein-protein interaction between MYB bHLH proteins. Members subgroup 9 the R2R3 transcription factors, which includes MYBMIXTA-Like (MML) genes important plant cell differentiation, are unable to interact with bHLH. this study, we report that cotton (Gossypium hirsutum)...

Abstract Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (CIR) injury results in significant secondary brain damage after ischemic stroke due to oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and neuroinflammation. Transchalcone (TCH), a polyphenolic compound, exhibits antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties that may contribute neuroprotection. The present study investigated the potential protective effects of TCH rat model CIR, focusing on its impact activation AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) pathway,...

The emergence of drug-resistant Enterobacteriaceae carrying plasmid-mediated β-lactamase genes has become a significant threat to public health. Organisms in the family containing New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase‑1 (NDM-1) and its variants, which are capable hydrolyzing nearly all β-lactam antibacterial agents, including carbapenems, referred as superbugs distributed worldwide. Despite efforts over past decade, discovery an NDM-1 inhibitor that can reach clinic remains challenge. Here, we...

Abstract The tumor‐associated antigen mucin 1 (MUC1) has been pursued as an attractive target for cancer immunotherapy, but the poor immunogenicity of endogenous hinders development vaccines capable inducing effective anti‐MUC1 immunodominant responses. Herein, we prepared synthetic in which hydrophilic MUC1 was N‐terminally conjugated to one or two palmitoyl lipid chains (to form amphiphilic Pam‐MUC1 Pam 2 ‐MUC1). These lipid‐tailed antigens were self‐assembled into liposomes containing NKT...

Palladium-supported cobalt hydroxide (Co(OH)2-Pd) nanoplates were fabricated in an aqueous solution and employed as a catalyst for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol. For preparation Co(OH)2-Pd, Pd nanoparticles anchored on Co(OH)2 after Na2PdCl4 by ascorbic acid absence stabilizer at room temperature. The observations under transmission scanning electron microscopy reveal that with size 2–5 nm are uniformly dispersed surface nanoplates. In catalytic test, conversion 4-nitrophenol to...
