During the process of aging, especially for postmenopausal females, cell lineage commitment mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) shift to adipocyte in bone marrow, resulting osteoporosis. However, cell-intrinsic mechanism this switch is poorly understood. As post-transcription regulation by microRNAs (miRNAs) has a critical role MSCs differentiation and homeostasis, we performed comprehensive miRNAs profiling found miR-705 miR-3077-5p were significantly enhanced from osteoporosis marrow. Both acted...

Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most frequent oral cancer in world, accounting for more than 90% of all diagnosis. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are large types non-coding RNAs, demonstrating a great capacity regulating expression genes. However, functions circRNAs still unknown. Recent research revealed that could serve as miRNA-sponge, consequently target genes indirectly, including oncogenes. In this study, we built an apoptotic model with TNF-α, and then confirmed circRNA...

Abstract Although biodiversity and ecosystem functions are strongly shaped by contemporary environments, such as climate local biotic abiotic attributes, relatively little is known about how they depend on long-term geological processes. Here, along a 3000-m elevational gradient with tectonic faults the Tibetan Plateau (that is, Galongla Mountain in Medog County, China), we study joint effects of environments biological communities, diversity community composition plants soil bacteria,...

Adaptation to cool climates has occurred several times in different angiosperm groups. Among them, Pooideae, the largest grass subfamily with ∼3,900 species including wheat and barley, have successfully occupied many temperate regions play a prominent role ecosystems. To investigate possible factors contributing Pooideae adaptive evolution cooling climates, we performed phylogenetic reconstruction using five gene sets (with 1,234 nuclear genes their subsets) from 157 transcriptomes/genomes...

Synotis jinshajiangensis (Asteraceae: Senecioneae), a new species from southwestern Sichuan and northwestern Yunnan, China, is illustrated described. This most closely similar to S. cappa in habit shape of leaves inflorescences, but distinct by its smaller involucres, absence ray florets, fewer phyllaries disk florets. It also related glomerata number phyllaries, differs loose compound corymbs or thyrses. A distribution map key are provided.

Aristolochiaceae, comprising about 600 species, is a unique plant family containing aristolochic acids (AAs). In this study, we sequenced seven species of Aristolochia, and retrieved eleven chloroplast (cp) genomes published for comparative genomics analysis phylogenetic constructions. The results show that the cp had typical quadripartite structure with conserved genome arrangement moderate divergence. range from 159,308 bp to 160,520 in length have similar GC content 38.5%–38.9%. Coleanthus subtilis (Tratt.) Seidel (Poaceae) is an ephemeral grass from the monotypic genus Seidl, which grows on wet muddy areas such as fishponds or reservoirs. As a rare species with strict habitat requirements, it protected at international and national levels. In this study, we sequenced its whole chloroplast genome for first time using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology Illumina platform, performed comparative phylogenetic analysis related in Poaceae. MicroRNAs (miRNAs/miRs) are small non‑coding RNAs that can act as oncogenes or tumor‑suppressor genes in human cancer. Previous studies have revealed abnormal expression of miRNAs is closely associated with tumor cell cycle, differentiation, growth and apoptosis. miR‑543 expressed abnormally a wide variety cancers has been cellular proliferation, apoptosis, invasion; however, the effect remains unknown oral squamous carcinoma (OSCC).
