The conclusions of the Physics Working Group international scoping study a future Neutrino Factory and super-beam facility (the ISS) are presented. ISS was carried by community between NuFact05, 7th International Workshop on Factories Superbeams, Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati, Rome, June 21-26, 2005) NuFact06 (Ivine, California, 24{30 August 2006). physics case for an extensive experimental programme to understand properties neutrino is presented role high-precision measurements...
The Double Chooz experiment has determined the value of neutrino oscillation parameter $\theta_{13}$ from an analysis inverse beta decay interactions with neutron capture on hydrogen. This uses a three times larger fiducial volume than standard assessment, which is restricted to region doped gadolinium (Gd), yielding exposure 113.1 GW-ton-years. data sample used in this distinct that Gd analysis, and systematic uncertainties are also largely independent, some exceptions, such as reactor flux...
A bstract We present the calibration strategy for 20 kton liquid scintillator central detector of Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO). By utilizing a comprehensive multiple-source and multiple-positional program, in combination with novel dual calorimetry technique exploiting two independent photosensors readout systems, we demonstrate that JUNO can achieve better than 1% energy linearity 3% effective resolution, required by neutrino mass ordering determination.
JUNO is a multi-purpose neutrino observatory under construction in the south of China. This publication presents new sensitivity estimates for measurement $\Delta m^2_{31}$, m^2_{21}$, $\sin^2 \theta_{12}$, and \theta_{13}$ oscillation parameters using reactor antineutrinos, which one primary physics goals experiment. The sensitivities are obtained best knowledge available to date on location overburden experimental site, nuclear reactors surrounding area beyond, detector response...
The Double Chooz collaboration presents a measurement of the neutrino mixing angle θ 13 using reactor $$ \overline{\nu_{\mathrm{e}}} observed via inverse beta decay reaction in which neutron is captured on hydrogen. This based 462.72 live days data, approximately twice as much data previous such analysis, collected with detector positioned at an average distance 1050 m from two cores. Several novel techniques have been developed to achieve significant reductions backgrounds and systematic...
The Taishan Antineutrino Observatory (TAO, also known as JUNO-TAO) is a satellite experiment of the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino (JUNO). A ton-level liquid scintillator detector will be placed at about 30 m from core Nuclear Power Plant. reactor antineutrino spectrum measured with sub-percent energy resolution, to provide reference for future neutrino experiments, and benchmark measurement test nuclear databases. spherical acrylic vessel containing 2.8 ton gadolinium-doped viewed by 10 m^2...
Main goal of the JUNO experiment is to determine neutrino mass ordering using a 20kt liquid-scintillator detector. Its key feature an excellent energy resolution at least 3 % 1 MeV, for which its instruments need meet certain quality and thus have be fully characterized. More than 20,000 20-inch PMTs been received assessed by after detailed testing program began in 2017 elapsed about four years. Based on this characterization set specific requirements, good all accepted could ascertained....
Abstract The core-collapse supernova (CCSN) is considered one of the most energetic astrophysical events in universe. early and prompt detection neutrinos before (pre-SN) during (SN) burst presents a unique opportunity for multi-messenger observations CCSN events.
