Abstract Background Patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) exhibit abnormal amino acid (AA) metabolism. Taste receptors play a crucial role in the detection of intestinal AAs. Nevertheless, it remains unclear whether UC patients expression these colon. Methods An observational, multicenter study was conducted involving adult active and healthy controls (HCs), recruited from July 2023 to March 2024. Fresh feces rectosigmoid mucosal tissues were obtained each participant. The concentrations...

Background According to Rome IV, reflux hypersensitivity (RH) represents a novel form of functional esophageal disorder. This study was designed compare the clinical features three types endoscopic-negative heartburn: RH, nonerosive disease (NERD), and heartburn (FH). Methods Patients with in medical center from 01/01/2017 10/31/2021 were included. article presented blinded retrospective analysis 24 h MII–pH HRM tracings patients NERD, FH their characteristics. Results A total 118 included...

Abstract Enhancing Li 2 S deposition and oxidation kinetics in lithium‐sulfur batteries, especially the potential‐limiting step under lean electrolyte, can be effectively achieved by developing conductive catalysts. In this study, using ZnMoO 4 as precursors, Zn‐doped molybdenum carbide microflowers (Zn‐Mo C) composed of speared porous sheets are fabricated with a hierarchically ordered structure. Density functional theory calculations indicate that Zn doping shifts d‐band center on Mo atoms...

Polarized light scattering spectroscopy (PLSS) is a promising optical technique developed for the detection of cancer, which extracts single to infer morphological information epithelial cells. However, traditional PLSS uses either rotatable polarizer or two orthogonal polarizers purify light, makes it complicated and challenged build endoscope. Herein, we propose snapshot with path directly get first time. The encoded using spectrally-modulated polarimetry decoded continuous slide iterative...

Abstract Polarized light scattering spectroscopy (PLSS) is a promising nondestructive method for early cancer detection through capturing single scattered from the epithelium. A novel fiber‐based snapshot PLSS endoscopy capable of collecting optical path introduced. In endoscope, simple combination fixed multiorder retarder followed by linear polarizer proposed at distal location multimode fiber encoding spectra first time. The encoded spectrum recorded spectrometer and subsequently decoded...

H2S is a well-known relaxant regulator in muscle contraction but little attention has been paid to its excitatory effect on colonic motility. To investigate the excitation of rat and underlying mechanism, contractile activity was assessed by an organ bath system, level substance P (SP) colon detected using enzyme immunoassay kits, L-type Ca2+ channel currents (ICa,L) large conductance Ca2+-activated K+ (IBK) smooth cells (SMCs) were measured patch-clamp electrophysiology. The results show...

Diospyrobezoars are a rare cause of small intestinal obstruction. A 78-year-old man, with history persimmons ingestion and gastrectomy, presented upper abdominal pain weight loss. The gastrointestinal endoscopy showed huge bezoar in the stomach. After initial endoscopic fragmentation, X-ray revealed obstruction colonoscopy large fragments filling terminal ileum. migrated pieces were successfully removed by fragmentation cutting lithotripter.

ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein (ARL) family members (ARLs) may regulate the malignant phenotypes of cancer cells. However, relevant studies on ARLs in breast (BC) are limited. In this research, expression profiles, genetic variations, and prognostic values BC have been systematically analyzed for first time using various databases. We find that significantly dysregulated according to TCGA database, which result from DNA methylation copy number alteration. Prognostic analysis suggests...
