In this study, the protective effects of Kuding tea polyphenols (KTPs) on ultraviolet B (UVB)-induced skin injury SKH1 hairless mice were studied. The ion precipitation method was used for extraction from tea. High-performance liquid chromatography showed that KTPs contains chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic isochlorogenic acid B, A, and C. induced aging using 2.0 mW/s intensity 90 mJ/cm2 UV light once a day seven weeks. 2.5% 5% solution smeared 2 cm2 back twice day. Mouse experiments KTP...
<title>Abstract</title> Accumulating evidence implicates gut microbiota play a pivotal role in influencing bone metabolism and contribute to the development of osteoporosis (OP). This study aimed comprehensively investigate pleiotropic effects between taxa density, with consideration shared genetic factors, causal relationships, involvement blood metabolites stearidonate this complex interplay. We estimate polygenic SNP heritability (h2SNP) for 1104 (GM) GWASs, identify 97 unique...
Background The immune responses to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) are crucial in maintaining a delicate balance between protective effects and harmful pathological reactions that drive the progression of disease 2019 (COVID-19). T cells play significant role adaptive antiviral responses, making it valuable investigate heterogeneity diversity SARS-CoV-2-specific cell COVID-19 patients with varying severity. Methods In this study, we employed high-throughput...
Introduction: This study evaluated a chlorhexidine-coated peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) and the incidence of associated complications within both inpatient outpatient populations. Methods: IRB-approved, multicenter, prospective observational was performed at three large teaching hospitals in US. All adults who required PICC for ⩾14 days were considered. Patients monitored throughout entire dwell. Duplex venous ultrasounds before insertion, after 10 to 14 dwell time, upon...
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex autoimmune disorder, the etiology of which involves alterations in circulating cytokine levels. However, cause-and-effect relationships and in-depth clinical relevance them remain to be systematically investigated. We conducted two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study assess causality levels SLE found that genetically determined elevated CTACK IL-18 were associated with an increased risk SLE, whereas higher level GRO-a was decreased risk....
